We can't give up on him so early just coz he dint score enough goals this yr.
As I said,when he isn't scoring,he is assisting.
When you pay a big sum for someone like him who's only 23,you're investing him for the future.Even if he performs half decent/not upto expected levels we can easily recover that investment purely because of the amount of money lying around these days.So people shouldn't be concerned if he flops.
Morata isn't prolific yet but he has already built up a reputation which has alerted the interest of most top clubs.That means they clearly value his talent even if he isn't scoring much.
I myself don't want change and we should do all we can to retain him.I still want to believe he'll stay.

Any idea why allegri doesn't want to play morata - dybala lineup? Is it for technical reason? Were they ever played together even as subs this season?

This is a very important thing when you think about it, we can't afford to pay 50 million euros for a striker that ultimately cannot play with our top scorer and plus our 2 other strikers are also not suited to play with morata, on top of that morata alone is nowhere the level of one man attack like higuain and cavani did with napoli, or suarez with liverpool as well as ibra with milan

Ultimately it probably better for us to buy other striker that can play with as well as deputizing dybala

Mandzukic - Dybala did make a better pairing. Mandzukic is the perfect striker for Dybala to play off. He's tall, strong and holds the ball up. He's great with his back to goal. Morata has looked like a weak bitch this season. He falls over at that slightest touch but that's not to say he couldn't work well with Dybala. They would just have to play differently than Mandzu and Dybala do together.

Morata plays well with either Dybala or Mandzu, i just always found that Allegri likes to have that hustler up top to start the defense right from the front, yes Morata can do it, but Mandzu just does it better. When its games in CL though, Morata usually always does more damage, especially against more tired defense and we know he is capable of that and more, plus he has age on his side, he is gonna be our icon alongwith Pogs, Sandro and Dybala in the future. We have a good relation with Madrid, as long as they dont want to utilize him in the first team, they will definitely consider our 15-20 Million offer.

He had a far better season than people give him credit for. He was our second leading assist man behind only Pogba, with 11 assists.

11 goals - 11 assists in 2365 minutes is actually pretty damn good.

To me its a simple equation. Real Madrid, if their intention is to on-sell him, are going to ask around and see what the player is worth.....if he is worth 50m, they will ask 20m from Juve. 60m, 30m etc. Juve will be able to keep him under this scenario.

If on the hand, Real intend to keep him and use him, then Morata is on his way out.

I am 99% sure that he will end up playing for Juve or Real Madrid. Unless someone offers a crazy bid of 60m or more.

It seems excessive to me as well, for a player that will likely be second choice because Mandzukic-Dybala works so much better than any other combination.

Its a valid point that Allegri tends to favor Dybala-Mandzukic. However, Morata offers a very different option especially in the CL. I think Marotta has a limit in mind in terms of what he would need to pay to keep him. My guess is its around 20m ish. That would value him at 50m. To put it another way, if we got the 30m for him, we would need to probably spend more than 40 or 50m to get someone of equal or better quality with the potential he has.

We could get players that are on the same level for that price but their use by date would approach far sooner and hence the value destruction would be bigger.

But as I said before - all bets are off if Zidane and Real Madrid want him to play for Los Blancos next year.

Its not about unlimited or not. I see us bidding 20m tops for him, and that would value him at 40m for us since we already paid half that. And for that sum, he is a no brainer. Players who shown less promise then him cost more, the market is fairly freaky right now. We sell him for 30m, and pay the 15-20m difference we oughta paid for him if Real let us, and who will we get? Unless we unearth some big wonderkid, it wont be easy to replace him. Even if yes he has not taken his chances well this season and has made himself rotation/backup compared to the starting place he won the previous season. But still, this is a player who is a season or two away from becoming a bonafide consistent top striker. Mandzukic is clever all around attacker who fits in well with the rest, but he is 31 soon, he is NOT our plan for the future. If we can keep him, Morata defenitely is. If not, we have to restart this process, and it would be unfortunate.


I'm not saying he is the finished article that warranted for 50m, I been critical about him, but monetary wise it makes TONS of sense to keep him, we already invested in him for 2 years, so it would be a shame to back down now if we are in a position to retain him, even if it will be costly. I see this dude having the potential to become a Torres of Liverpool days (but who has superior all around skillset in a way), if he just hones his killer instinctand become more selfish, thats all he's missing. Potentially a RIDICOLOUS player.

He'll improve in 4312 for sure. He's getting a lot of assists, so I don't think he's been that bad. Once he finds his scoring shoes this guy could be unstoppable.

Not that I think he'll stay tbh but that's another matter

I don't think he has even outscored last season? Or barely if he has, and he's being played more. I've seen a few players develop really strongly in their second season at this club, so I was expecting more.

The potential there is obvious, and he offers plenty which Juventus don't already have (in terms of pace and size he should be really useful, and he's providing for his teammates too). He's scored some of my favourite goals of the last two seasons as well, the left footed strike vs Man City is unreal. I'd be happier if his scoring slump this season wasn't so long, but 4 months is a concern for any striker when they don't go through hot streaks in the rest of the season. I'd be more than happy to keep him for another season if the clause didn't exist, as I value big game players a lot (eg someone like Muller) who can provide a huge moment for the squad. I think €50m is a huge gamble.

The sad thing is this transfer clause has cemented my position regarding the club spending that amount of money on him, as I'd be perfectly willing to see him stay and grow with the other young talents on this team otherwise.
