Cavani has 17 goals in 36 CL games. That 0.47 ratio is on par with the likes of Agüero, Henry, Shevchenko, Del Piero and Drogba, among others, and better than many more. So it's a bit of a disservice to say he wouldn't score goals for us in the competition. His EL record makes his continental record even better.

Of course Morata really excels in the competition because his attributes as a quick counter attacking striker really suit it. So far in his career he's averaging a CL goal every 180 minutes, Cavani is basically the same, but of course Morata has growth potential.
not saying Cavani wouldnt score but Morata has that unique skillset which makes him a perfect CL striker. Wouldnt want to lose him for any other striker available out there

His performance against Bayern, assist to Sturaro in the home leg and ruining Bayern's defenders in the 2nd leg is what made us go so close to them.
Let's not forget he even had a goal disallowed.

Morata in that 60 mins is one of the best individual performances for Juventus I've seen in recent yrs.

So unfair to criticize him for his league record when he doesn't even get to start regularly in the first place.

Well said.

For some reason people like to exaggerate Moratas impact in CL. He has been very good but he excells because he has needed qualities to do damage in open space and in counters. Besides hitting big form right time a year ago in playoffs. But he isn't ready sure fire top quality player yet at all. And besides age and bit of creativity someone like Cavani who has scored 100s of goals on consistent basis and is also quick and strong, is nowhere near close to a step down. He will be a step up on current Morata. It remains to be seen tho if Morata will be on pair or improvement on Cavani in the future. Until then some of you need to relax with thinking Morata is only one who has midas touch in CL.
We're not talking about ceiling. Cavani is a proved just below world class player. He's not a step down.
Exactly.

People here gets emotional everytime someone says Cavani is a good striker.

Guess what, he IS a good striker...and even when MOrata has higher ceiling..we dont know how far he can go. Cavani is older and entering the last of his good years.. but the man is a PROVEN goal scorer, who doesnt depend on counters.

Diminishing Cavani´s record just to have a point because peeps dont want Morata to go is idiotic. And guess what...Very few here want morata gone anyways.-.. fopr obvious reasons..

But in the case we sadly lose him, Cvani wopuld be an excellent band aid fpr the 2 or 3 years to come. He is proven.

#TS: #Morata has opted not to choose sides as he likes both #Juve & #RealMadrid , for negotiations for his BB clause

#TS: #Marotta will offer €25m to #Perez but if Perez still opts to exercise BB clause, #Morata won't be at #Juve.

#TS also confirm that #Juve spoke with #Marseille about #Batshuayi . He has been reserved in case #Morata leaves

Ofcourse he wouldnt be against his hometown club. If they were to sell him to EPL though, then I could see him saying he wants to stay at Juve
Dont quite believe those rumors.Benzema is unstable as it is with his off-field issues.Maybe they're getting him to rotate with Benzema.
