It will take seomehting really serious to make Morata reject them if they really sweetalk him and promise first team footie as their next main striker.

I can picture him as their next symbol of the club. The signs are there for the perfect lovestory. If a coach like benitez presses enought, maybe florentino will buckle and bring him back.

Also, let's not forget a large part of his family and his gf live in Madrid. They will also have their say eventually.

Childhood club or not, put yourself in his shoes. The team you loved growing up decided you weren't good enough and then got rid of you. Then you go somewhere else, get a real chance to play and develop and then they come running back to your door? I'd tell them to fuck off. One thing you can't put a price tag on is stability. He will NEVER have that at Real Madrid. Ever.


Oh and I didn't even mention that Juventus is a better club right now. Real Madrid are just a collection of individuals being destroyed internally.

Morata wanted to come to us in the first place remember? And then after he got here he settled in as a main starter and experienced great success all the way until the end of the CL. There don't seem to be many reasons as to why he'd want to leave after his experience here probably has gone beyond his dreams already.

That can be tricky. Because he also knows deep down, that he originally hails from the biggest club in the world and that is his home club. It's a huge emotional influence on the mind of a player. If Benzema were to move, and Madrid offer him that role, I can see him wanting to snap that up in a jiffy.

He knows he will be playing alongside the best in the world, I front of his home crowd and earning more than he probably will at Juve. The advantage will always be In favour of Madrid in this scenario. It's a smaller advantage now, given that he's getting the affection of Juventini the world over but in his heart he will always be a madridista, at least till he ends up spending a significant portion of his career here and gets conditioned by teammates and the clubs culture and mentality.

Interesting. The last I heard about this was, that if we pay 8m the clause goes away.

His family, his friends, his girl, his boyhood club. His land. All of it count peeps.

But yes it has its cons. For example, in one interview he said he loved that in turin he can go for a walk with no one bothering him, but it was nit impossible to do that in madrid. Also he is a fan fav already here, and there he would first have to work on getting the fans on his side again(but this is nothing that a couple goals cant fix). Or he could very well end like giovinco and not be accepted by the fans again (dont think so because he is effective, unlike gio).

Still, it would be awesome for us to negotiate the clause. Lets see what madrid thinks about it. IMO it will be a tough negotiation because first of all, we would have to sort first with morata if he really wants us to pull that thru, and then how much madrid will ask for it, knowing full well that if they would like to buy him back, it could very well be 60 mils or more by the time.

Its a tricky situation.

Lets cross fingers and pray he will remember which team called for him and gave him the chance he wanted, when no one believed in him. Morata himself said that he decided to come to turin because we were the first club that approached him, and we showed real trust in him from minute one.
