‘Morata will stay at Juventus’

Real Madrid Coach Carlo Ancelotti believes striker Alvaro Morata will remain at Juventus, despite a buy-back clause.
The youngster was impressive in Tuesday’s win over Borussia Dortmund, leading to speculation that Los Merengues will exercise their right of redemption in the summer, but the tactician says he’ll stay in Turin.
“He needed to play,” Ancelotti explained, recalling his departure in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport.
“He’s a young boy who was looking for more opportunities and consistency. He had a lot of offers, he’s the one who chose Juve.
“He’s a modern striker, he has pace, rhythm and intensity, he’s cool in front of goal and is a hard worker.
“In Morata’s contract there’s a right of redemption [for us], but I think he’ll stay at Juventus.”

What this guy is doing is absolutely amazing.

At the moment he's our third most effective player with 9 goals and 4 assists. BUT he even has 1400 minutes less on the field compared to some of our starters like Pogba and Tevez.

Man, when we first bought him, here was I thinking, those numbers are crazy...

And so right I was. What a bargain and brilliant transfer that was.

Dont think Carlo's word means anything at this point. He could likely be on the way out of Madrid if he doesnt win La Liga or CL.(The former especially).

Having said that, lets not talk about this buyback clause all the time. Its become tiresome coming to this thread and reading comments concerning the buyback clause and speculating about his future after like every game.

The main point I highlighted when we were first linked with him was his ability to break down stubborn defences with his off the ball movement and getting behind opposition defence and how this would compliment Tevez well as opponents will think twice about only closing down Tevez, seems to be the case so far

The main question is wether or not Real will promise him a starting position if they want to bring him back. Do they not try to go after the best striker? He could get time but in 2 years he wouldnt want to go back to being a back up there if he could start for us or other teams. So even if Real decide he is their choice second string guy he would probably refuse the deal especially if we told him we wanted to keep him. Now if he is good enough to be their premeir front man we have a small chance of retaining him but it is Real e are talking about

In 2 years i would like to think Morata will become world class and if he is then theres every chance Madrid will want him back. Yes it is annoying talking about the buy back clause but it is worrying and does leave us in a weird state of mind.

is he better than Llorente?
...wait for it...
Not happy about this signing, but good luck nonetheless.
:D
I put no hope on this transfer.
I would prefer to be wrong for the good sake of the team performance with this player, I just believe this is a bad operation.
In any case let see what he has to offer.
If he has 2 WC seasons,it means we would've lost a genuine top player for a pittance amount in today's market. That 35m will be considered almost nothing especially when quality forwards would end up costing a lot more in this inflated market and we'd inevitably find it hard to replace him.

But,i dont think he'll be that much of a revelation anyway. We'll see.
Not a fan of this move, but oh well...

Prove me wrong Alvaro.
:D

What a great deal..............................for Real

We got fucked right in the ass
:touched:

We should have gotten pato right?
...wait for it...
Yep, for 20M a far better investment.

I don't know, Morata seems highly unproven, he barely played for Madrid. 20M for an unproven kid seems to be too much. Kinda weird, since he is a CF and will fight Llorente for a starting position.
I think Pedruflu was joking? :D

Watch this guy turn out to be the next big cf.
Excellent foresight, young skywalker.
Morata is going to bench Llorente by December.
Just brilliant.
Pathetic. This Marotta guy is no better than Secco. Conte turned out to be great and that fooled some people. Marotta was always pathetic.
ok. it's still an unnecessary risk and stupid transfer.
