Aside from the missed header in the first half, he’s been absolutely fantastic in this match. Passing well, holding up the ball well, working his ass off, pressing hard when required. Brilliant extra time goal and key pass that lead to the 5th goal. Great performance.

People get way too hung up on missed chances.

I worry far more about strikers who stop getting into positions to miss chances than those who miss them. All attackers miss chances, it is the top ones that don't let it affect them and keep coming back to score.

Credit to Morata he comes across as the type to go into his shell but he has shown good mental strength to keep coming back, especially with everything that has gone on.

Plus his overall play has been impressive too.

Nah. Spain golden generation ended almost a decade ago. New Spain kinda sucks. Outscoring guys like David Villa, Fernando Torres, Raul, etc is more impressive.

But Lewandowski > Morata obviously. And it’s never been close lol
