Messed up deal, of course. Sure, there's no guarantee we would have brought him here without that clause, but still not a very smart way how to do business, especially at a club like ours.
If it was either Morata with a clause vs some random striker for 20-25 million, I'm glad we went for Morata with the clause. Took us to the CL final. For that alone it was worth it. We are still growing as a club, both in revenue and stature. Better players will come regardless of what the Marotta hating idiots spew.

Meh if he goes we'll find someone else, not worried about it.

Logical statements from Morata. He's leaving all the doors open: Juventus, Real Madrid or some other club.

If we wanted to keep him, we could have already convinced him to stay. Then you go to Real Madrid and say: here is the extra cash because player doesn't want to move.

Obviously there are some issues in club-player-coach relations.

Some well deserved tough love for Morata:

The Bianconeri striker has had an inconsistent season, struggling to get regular starting spots amid competition from Paulo Dybala, Mario Mandzukic and Simone Zaza.

Morata is in the Spain squad that will face Italy tomorrow, but Del Bosque was critical of the striker by saying that 'no one would’ve said anything if I didn’t call him up.’

“If he’s not being used much it’s his own fault, not the fault of his Coach,” he said to Gazzetta dello Sport.

“It means he’s not doing well. If I hadn’t called him up, no one would’ve said anything to me.

“But he has everything to be out central attacker. For some reason he hasn’t found the right regularity yet, he has his own responsibility for this.

“What should he do? I don’t know. He’s a nice guy for sure, humble and not pampered.

“Let’s hope he finds the right continuity both with Juve and with us. During the games he must make more of an impression.”

We will go for and fail to get Cavani.

But if we manage it, we are litterally upgrading our team big team. Age difference aside, Cavani would score 3 times the goals Morata does :p

Lol dat smilie.

But yeah we should go for Cavani..... He would cost us effectively what? 20 mils? (taking into account that Morata will give us 30 mils, and assuming he will be sold for 50 mils minimum).

Cavani is a full fledged forward and he has the goals we need. Needs no pampering.

He says he is good at Juventus in latest interview so I'm still saying he doesn't leave. I also do not think the cavani move if it happens is dependent on this
He said he is waiting for a decition...and he said it in a very uncertain tone. I dont think his chances of staying are good...even if he likes Juve. If real want him back, he is goner.

If he doesnt go... theres no use/money to bring cavani.
