When Pereyra gets back we will see less of him on the left. We simply need to field him there now since Pereyra's supposed backup has been atrocious, which forces us to play 4-3-3. He hasnt been that bad though, made some good runs and kept the ball well, which allowed the team to push forward on occasion.
It's not the position, it's his attitude. Guy receives the ball, turn his back to the opponent and tries to dribble. Time after time, it's was 4 or 5 times today and his lost the ball each fucking one. Yeah you don't like your position, but be a professional ffs, you are paid to be one, not to be a fucking kid.
He's definitely strong in the counter attack but he has the kind of attributes that should make him effective playing any style of football. His strength with his back to goal, his height and his movement off the ball are especially useful when teams park the bus. I thought he would be scoring buckets of goals this season but not playing him as a center forward as well as playing with a new partner every game is obviously hurting him. We have a potential world class striker here. It's a terrible waste for him and the team. It's not as if he makes for a good left-winger anyway.
