Confusing signing. He is a big potential, showing it and already has more goals than Llorente this season. But what good will come from that if Real Madrid buys him back? We make a player out of him and then we lose him.

Lacking the confidence he shown against Borussia. Found himself in bad positions most of the time and looked dead.

Hopefully we'll see it back when we face ze Germans again. It's important that we have that Morata for that game.

Should definitely sit against Palermo. Maybe needs a rest, I don't know. Has been invisible for 3 weeks. Too bad he didn't score that attempt just before he was sub'd, as it was the first bit of nice play from him today, and would have probably helped his confidence. Tevez--Morata partnership has regressed, and you could definitely see frustration with Morata from Tevez.

Well, apparently Morata is our only player that knows what it means to play a Champions League game.

welcome to age 22. biggest problem: consistency.

it's rare to see young players play amazing week in and out.

also i dont like him out wide. but this is the main problem with wingless formations that force your strikers to play wide

Really poor last night.

I like Morata but his instincts as a striker are terrible at times.

So often he was out wide, often hugging the touchline many times standing wider than Evra. Just about every cross into the box he was standing at the back post with two defenders in between him and the goal. Regardless of who is crossing, it is a lot more difficult to get it to him in that position.

Lichtsteiner isn't a great crosser but the fact that Morata and Tevez rarely move into decent positions in the box doesn't help. There were at least 3 times where he put in balls into dangerous areas where if the striker made a run into the front post they would have a great chance.

We really need to train him to get into the box and stay central more often, if we can do that I'm sure he could score a lot of goals. If not, he isn't going to score many from the touchline...

You people talk about consistency all the time.. playing amazing week in and out.. I have never seen that player that you guys are talking about. When Ale played bad people were moaning about consistency, the same was with Neddy (he's getting too old people said) etc. etc.

And no, I don't need any Messi/C.Ronaldo bullshit right here.. even I would be a superstar in that shitty league (just like in EPL, Bundesdick etc.).

It's hard for our strikers to look good in this formation because they have to drift wide to supply the width too often. Everyone is in the middle of the pitch. If a striker wants to actually touch the ball he has to drift into the space which is always wide.

Tevez has seen a dip in form with this formation although he is still useful of course.

Spot on.

Seeing Tevez play in free role behind Morata and Coman would be awesome. Can't believe we haven't seen it yet.
