Perhaps.

AIG is probably too big to let fail. What I can't make any sense out of is why the government would bail out Bear Sterns but let Lehman Brothers and AIG go into insolvency. If I had to pick one to save, it would have to be AIG as they are more crucial to the common folk than Bear. The government and FED isn't making much sense
The government's current administration doesn't give fuck all about the common people.

U.S. Said to Be Considering Conservatorship as Option for AIG
By Craig Torres and Elizabeth Hester

Sept. 16 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. Treasury is considering taking over American International Group Inc. under a conservatorship as one option to address the insurer's crisis, according to two people briefed on the discussions.

Executives from AIG, bankers and Treasury and Federal Reserve officials are meeting today on the company's situation at the New York Fed.

Apparently Greenspan owns 12% of AIG and there is speculation as to whether he's using this opportunity to increase his shares in the company.

What is with this huge move in Gold today? 6.5%

    technicals, went long on monday

What's new on AIG and how will this affect Manure?
fed rescue, but on a bridge loan it's actually not as bad as the bear sterns incident, it might affect manure but i am sure they can find a replacement faster that you can say c. ronaldo is ballon d'or.

The technicals from Friday said extremely bearish; that's why I was surprised.

I'm starting to get a better understanding of these moving day averages. Is the Devil cross of death what you go on sometimes?

market profile, td sequentials some too

and since you re watching moving day averages watch out for a key reversal in treasuries in the coming days
Word, I'll have to read up on the TD sequential. Looks interesting at first glance but I don't think I have the necessary programs to trade that way yet.

Llyods TSB just took over Halifax Bank of Scotland.

A 300 year old Scottish institution disappears, largely due to a lack of confidence in the banking sector.

It was even a well run bank by all accounts.
