That's a great list of concerts Sergio... very nice. I'm definitely jealous... hope you got some more tickets, buddy.

I saw the Chilli Peppers and The Mars Volta in '07 at GM Place here in Van, row 18 on the floor. It was outstanding... played lots of old stuff, huge energy, Frusciante was absolutely on fire. The show ended with 15-20 minutes of the guitarists from both bands leading a crazy jam session... played off each other really well.

I saw Jurassic 5 and The Roots play at the Koolhaus in Toronto (separate shows), both groups were excellent... the venue... meh, not so much...

Bumbershoot in Seattle is a good time. It's a kick ass music festival, every year around the beginning of Sept, and if anyone is ever in the area at that time, I suggest you go. All weekend, downtown Seattle (over 20,000 if memory serves me, in the area around Key arena - they fence off a few blocks)... 8 stages for music, a comedy "club," some amusement rides, lots of beer gardens/vendors...tons of artists, and just a great vibe.

Saw Dylan when I was 9, in Kingston, Ontario, the sound was awful... really wish I hadn't been so young... kind of comparable to when my parents took me to Jamaica as a 6 week old. Way too fucking early.

Some others, but nothing too noteworthy.

I'm more of the club concert goer. The best show I ever saw oddly enough was a total mismatch. I saw the Dream Syndicate play Hammerjacks in Baltimore, which was an infamous metal-head club back then.

I was one of the only people in the place who got the band, while everyone else complained they didn't get how a musician could take a stage without hairspray and leather pants.

Always was a big fan, but they weren't even close to being my favorite band at the time. But hey -- I like feedback and an homage to the Velvet Underground...

I wanna be you, Sergio. Those are some memorable artists you've had the privilege to see...I wish I've seen half of them.

But being from Croatia, a country which most artists avoid, I've not had the oppurtunity to see many big names live. My biggest experiences both happened last year when I saw Mark Knopfler and Iron Maiden. Knopfler's concert was the cream of the crop, it was an intimate event which started of with everyone being seated down(as it was something Knopfler requested), but when he started some Straits classics, emotions got the best of people and everyone jumped up and went to the stage. It was really a night to remember. You can find some videos I took here.

Maiden was a much bigger concert, over 30K people in a stadium, but due to poor organisation it was not as good as it should have been. I had tickets for the Headbangers Pit which very easily could have turned into a "Death Pit" beacuse of the enourmous amount of people that jumped the fence to get in there. Either way I got to see Bruce wave the Brittish flag on Trooper, hear the "Scream for me...." chant and witness classics like Hallowed Be Thy Name, Fear Of The Dark, Aces High, etc. I would have given a 3-months paycheck to see Maiden and even though the organisation was poor, it was an incredible experience.

My biggest regret was The Rolling Stones almost a decade ago. I was a kid with no real income and it was not even worth to ask my Dad for the money to buy a ticket. Hope they come again before they die.

Other bands I'd like to see:
AC/DC
Gilmour or Pink Floyd
Eric Clapton(preferably in the Pula Arena)
Deep Purple(they were in Split last year but I had no money to go)
Jethro Tull
Rage Against The Machine

Next concert I have in line is Massive Attack in a couple of months here in Zagreb. The best electronic band ever.
Depeche are also playing in Zagreb, you should watch them.

Yeah I know. They should have played in late May, but that got cancelled and now they're playing next February. I would have bought a ticket but I needed money for the summer. I'll try and grab a ticket in a couple of months when they re-release returned tickets.

You saw them live?

They played in a fucking festival here, I was really disappointed. I am thinking of watching them somewhere else when they come back to Europe. They are touring in the USA now, then they are heading to South America.

In November they play in Turin, they can be combined with Juventus....but I am not sure I will travel there this year.

Over the years I have seen quite a few bands, the "big ones" are rarely memorable though, at least the ones I have seen (Metallica, Coldplay,...). Too bad I never got to see MJ live...

Memorable gigs for me personally:
De La Soul @ Pukkelpop 00 : The first good hip hop show I ever saw
Redman @ Pukkelpop 03 : amazing interaction with the audience, show kept going on and on, way after his timeslot was over
Snoop Doog @ Brussels 05 (or 04) : had very low expectations, maybe that's why I enjoyed it a lot.
EPMD @ Gent 07 : those guys are legends and I had to wait many years to see them
Daft Punk @ Pukkelpop 07 : good music, best FX & lights I have ever seen live.
Ice Cube @ Dour 08 : surprisingly good & straightforward
Method Man & Redman @ Gent '09 : this was a few days after MJ died. The show itself wasn't that great but the MJ tribute afterwards was quite impressive
...
I hope to add Kraftwerk to the list of memorable gigs very soon :xfinger:

Memorable because they were (really bad):
Cypres Hill @ Pukkelpop 00 : boooooring (I did see them a few other times when they were quite good)
Radiohead @ Werchter 01 : the less said, the better.
The Prodigy @ Pukkelpop 06 : everything (performance, soundmix, ...) about it was terrible
Wu Tang Clan @ Dour '08 : boring as hell, bad sound, even worse performance
...

For some reason I pretty much only seem to remember hippity hop concerts

well last night set a new bar for live performance.
Interpol's front man does not interact with the crowd in a showman style, their show is simply about the music...and wow did they perform last night. you can usually acknowledge who the good bands are by whether their tunes sound as good live as they do on LP but Interpol's set was tremendous and a large proportion of their set sounded better live!
funnily enough they did NOT sing their biggest hit "all fired up" yet you didn't feel short changed by this, every track was perfectly performed and the flow of the music was excellent.

by far one of the most impressive bands i have had the fortune to see live

Sounds like Tool. The lead singer sings from behind the curtain to put emphasis on the music. It's pretty neat.

Touch one between Iron Maiden's 2nd show in Bangalore vs. Porcupine Tree in Mumbai. I choose Maiden due to the great crowd participation and interaction.

Prodigy in Jan with Aush gets an honorary mention.
