Supposedly Conte has Sanchez high on his wish list. Even above Aguero. Does kind of make sense. He has actually proven that he can get reti in Serie A.

I do really like the fact that Sanchez has been proven in Serie A. I really don't want anymore "sure thing" flops. Especially this year. I want to collect the gold star, and the silver one, too.

Tough question. While I have no doubts that we will offer a lot and work hard to get him, I can't predict how far are teams like Inter willing to go. In any case, I do expect Juve to be ready to make Sanchez our most expensive post-Calciopoli signing.

That will be a problem. We will want a big signing but if we fail to sign Sanchez we might overpay for someone who isn't that good and isn't Conte's preferred choice. We might even do something more stupid in desperation and spend the big signing money on Bastos and another similar player.
Plan C worked out well with Quag, but our luck won't last too long. In this situation and with the pressure he's under, Marotta might do something really stupid now if plan A fails.

This scenario is what I fear the most for this summer's Mercato. I also see Marotta make a move in desperation if he fails to sign one of our primary targets.
