That's not because of the press, that's because they would have been loaned into oblivion.

So what's the alternative here? Continue on the same path overpaying for mediocre Italians, or overpaying for youngsters that we can groom ourselves? I know what most here would choose.

There's lot of pressure on the Arsenal youngsters, Barca youngsters, et cetera, yet they turn out alright. Of course, everyone will scapegoat the fans or what have you, when it's our own shit system being the biggest detriment of all.
Alternatives? Its not just either signing bunch of youngsters or shitty Italians like Pepe or Motta. Its not just like that, there is plenty of ways to sign players.

1. Spend a lot of money on superstars(Real and Man City do that)
2. Sign young players and hope they develop(Udinese, Palermo etc)
3. Sign quality players from smaller teams within your own league who do really well. For example signing players like Isla, Lavezzi, Cassano from Samp etc.
4. Sign foreign stars from smaller leagues, for example players like Sahin, Moussa Sissoko and Hazard.

If I could choose, I would love for Juve to do their business according to the 3rd and 4th one.

Yet you wanted Giovinco to stay give a chance to mature with us and learn from his mistakes.
But Giovinco was loaned out to Empoli and he proved that he good football within him. Also, its not like we have other players who would do it better in his position. For example, if this was the Juventus of 2006 it would have been different.

You chose two out of the three most cost ineffective solutions.

Players like Sahin and Hazard are going to sell for superstar prices, over 20M most likely. Isla and Lavezzi are players that we'll have to spend a lot for considering they come from rival clubs.

But more importantly doesn't play for Sampdoria, so no chance of getting him.
This is good news i think .

Cassano - Merda , Pazzini - Merda

He is playing for Udineze , and we got a lot of players from there : Pepe,Motta,Iaquinta etc . . .

We have chanes to sign him .

Goal and two assists for both Di Natale's goals yesterday.

The real engine behind Udinese's amazing form in 2011, proven by the simple stat that Udinese have 9 wins, 3 draws and 0 defeats in 2011 and on the two matches Sanchez didn't play, they registered two draws (0:0 at home with Brescia and 1:1 with Bologna). The only match Udinese didn't win in 2011 with Sanchez in the team was the 4:4 at San Siro with Milan. With Sanchez they have 9-1-0 and goal difference 32:8.

The main question remains though. Can he keep this for a longer period of time. If yes, then every team, including Barcelona can find a place for this guy in their starting XI.

Udinese president values him to 30 million euro, so I believe a bid around 25 would be enought. They always put a little higher price then they would accept, maby I wrong but my guess.

20 million euro + Giovinco would be enought I believe
