This still remains to be seen. People are making Peluso out to be Manuel Pasqual or something, it's ridiculous. He had one terrific game, folks.
I think you missed the part where I said "If Peluso continue playing like he has in the last two games."

He could very well return to playing terribly like in his first few games for us.

But that isn't really the expectation. It's like saying if Giovinco turns into Zola.
I don't know what I'm expecting from him as I didn't seen him play much before he came at Juventus. He could very well be a perfectly decent LB/LWB.

I don't like Asamoah as a LWB so putting Peluso in his stead is not exactly like comparing him to Roberto Carlos.

What's not to like about Asamoah? Defensively he's near perfect, and some may say he doesn't offer much in attack, but I doubt Peluso can do better.
Peluso has a good cross, which is significant. Asamoah is too predictable. If we're going to use a system with wing backs, we might as well use wing backs that can cross. That's why I want Isla to get more playing time.

Predictable maybe, but still effective because he's powerful and has decent dribbling ability and has a good shot and finish.

It might not look pretty how he does it, but he's getting it done - goals, assists and a locked down left wing.

DC also has a good cross :)

DC is a catastrophe waiting to happen. Peluso was that against Sampdoria (playing out of position, though) and he was responsible for a goal against Lazio. However, I can only imagine him getting better in that respect as he is settling down in the club.

I wouldn't say he's better than Isla offensively.

Licht is more dominant, can cover all the flank and he's sound defensively, but his offensive contribution isn't that good however and he's often opting for the simple pass.

A good cross is still dependent on the finish and movement of the players in the box, I don't think we have a beast like Cavani worthy of crosses, so I am pro Asa and Licht. I see Asamoah as more of a goal-scorer and makes our formation abit like 334 at times. My only qualm is that when Peluso plays Marchisio plays higher up the field than when Asamoah plays, I prefer Marchisio closer to goal than Asamoah. That said Peluso and Asamoah give the option of playing two tactics with same formation, so all good.

Llorente is great in the air.

But Licht will start over Isla any day of the week. Isla's a fine backup however.
In the end, it depends on what you expect or want from your wing back. I agree with Treq, for our formation it's better if you use your width offensively, at least on one side of the pitch.

I say let Licht against the big sides where shutting down the flank is necessary, otherwise give Isla a shot from time to time. We need to have a return on our investment.
