The only explanation he's still second choice in the pecking order is because of Evra's experience and well respected character. Allegri must think that's more important for some reason.

Defensive wise, offensive wise and what he offers as a skilled individual is second to none in his position.

I really do see this guy as the best in his position, we are very lucky to have him, I know, no player is bigger than the club, but look at the many terrible left backs we had to go through after Zambrotta, and then having the best player there is in LB, as well the best LB that was on the same team, we really have been blessed.

I just hope we keep on doing well in CL, so players like him, Pogba, Dybala, Morata will want to be loyal with us, and we can always provide enough dough for them to stay.

Thug about Sandro is, for those who compare him to present day best in the world like say a Marcelo, I'd say Sandro is going to grow into a much more rounded LB/WB, because he is not just about speed and trickery, there is a lot of intelligence to his movement and passing which adds to his attacking and defensive abilities. That is normally rare for full or wing backs who largely rely on more specific assets like crossing or speed.

It's true that the team played more hyped players and not strongest
?
I wouldn't say more hyped ones but it's been proven the Brazilian Football Federation received bribes from several agents so their players would be called up in order to gain visibility and then be sold to the European Market. It's a dirty business that goes back to the early 00's.
