Common i remember you saying last year, that after the investment on Melo and Matri and Quaq, we wont have to invest any more money on CM and SS again next year (this year) and focus on the defense next.

Very suprising and nice to hear how direct and upfront Alex is about the details of his potential future (rare to read a player say that to the media). Honestly I dont get the hesitation (since I assume we have been interested a while according to Alex), he is basically just shy of the absolute top defenders, very capable.

I get it if its taking the time to negotiating down the price. But defenitely would be a VERY good signing. I get the prioritizing of type of defender, leader/passer or such, but before that whats more important is improving the quality of our defence, even if he is similar type of defender as Giorgio, he would defenitely improve our defence.
