Marotta takes way to long to get anything done and in the end doesn't get shit. Lugano, Vargas, Rossi, Bastos now Alex. I feel we cold have even had Aguero had he acted fast and gotten the deal before the Copa America. Now we are down to the last week and a half and still with an incomplete roster that as currently constructed will not be able to even get into the Europa League next year nevermind the CL. Milan, Lazio, Inter, and Napoli are still better than us, Roma, Udinese and Palermo are debatable....Time is ticking away what other players are still out ther that could make an impact??

I read no statements officially from Chelsea suggesting they would happily sell Alex. Only a few quotes from Alex himself inferring that he would happily join Juve, on a permanent deal, not on loan, and that he felt that chelsea, him and juve could come to an agreement without too much difficulty. But as for Chelsea management?? Maybe I missed it...

Its true what jay said, the $ is really of little consqeuence to chelsea. They are more interested in having the defenders in depth that they like. As far as I know, they are still after that massive lad from birmingham, also were sniffing around cahill, and then there is Rajkovic. Its clear that they have plans for their defensive unit, and that it is not at all yet finalized.

Perhaps they thought they would have no problems bringing in Rajkovic, and failing that, be able to get Cahill or Dann with ease. Considering they are interested in several defenders, its likely that Alex's departure hinges upon their ability to bring in one or two of their targets. Most clubs replace what they sell.

blaming this on marrotta with zero evidence to back it up, and chelsea obviously yet to procure any of their defensive targets, is wrong and stupid.

And you obviously know everything don't you? Calling others unintelligent just makes you look like a complete idiot. Don't look down upon others, or be prejudiced towards them simply because they don't share your views. You should learn to listen and measure ur responses before flapping ur big mouth all the time.

I don't agree with the majority of your posts, but this I agree with

its the easy thing to do, and since the majority of this forum isnt known to be intelligent, it became common to do so
back to your original point, zach...and it reminds me of something else that has bothered me these last few years, which is a steady decrease in the amount of players we have who are comfortable on the ball. As with your mention of high quality wingers taking away workload for fullbacks, its the same for the team as a whole, when it comes to players comfortable on the ball. Movement is another problem. As was seen so painfully often after quag's injury last season. Nobody was making intelligent runs. in fact the only chaps running into space were krasic and Matri, also to a lesser degree, DP.

A lack of players comfortable on the ball, eager to get rid of it like a fkin hot potato, mixed with a lack of players making intelligent runs, and...the defence gets crunched, swamped, easily and often.

I guess what we are saying is that we need better footballers at the club. as the defence will continue to suffer unless we improve ball control and movement. Pirlo, Lich, Vidal, Vucinic to my mind, all upgrade our quality and help out in the ball control/movement stakes. Not sure about pazienza, but to be honest, the brief snippets I have seen of him pre-season, and of what i saw of him at napoli last year, he is a very clear upgrade from sissoko, likely also, to be more useful than marchisio in a 2 man midfield with pirlo if vidal is injured or playing as GK or LB or LW or ST!

we lacked leadership, skill, intelligent movement, berserker zeal. I feel that beppe has done okay, so far, in terms of improving those areas. Still need to grab a new LW, and also, if possible a CB...

alex would be great, so would lugano. But who is leaving??? i assume conte wants 4 CBS, chiellini barzagli bonucci sorenson...the Iceman has yet to leave on loan or co-ownership. I would love him to stay as one of the 2 backup CBs. So i guess bonucci is the one most likely to leave on co-ownership, full transfer or as part of an exchange deal.

Hey look. Linebreak might even be wearing black and white stripes. Total commitment :touched:

Trequartista trying to be funny, and failing miserably yet again :p

I'm generally cautiously optimistic in real life, but when it comes to matters of Juve, and having endured two extremely disappointing seasons, I see no reason to be optimistic as of yet. If we acquire a good LW, a solid CB, the season starts and we start getting results and playing some decent football, I shall personally convey my optimism to you in the form of a jelly bean with all the colors of the rainbow :D

Until then, it's just like trust. You have to earn it; I'm not going to give it to you if you don't deserve it.

Where did I say that these are facts? All I said was what I think is happening.

Now go knee jerk on someone else.

And the VS gurus? :howler: As if they get anything right....hey, even a broken clock tells the time right twice a day.

This is one thing that allways struck me. when watching juventus last season, the movement was allways so extremely poor.
But then again, nobody in the midfield had the passing range to reach them.
With pirlo now, this changes completely
With vidal instead of pirlo, we gained alot of intelligent movement, and general quality aswel. i just hope he is also good at destroying.
This team has alot of future. hence, if we'd get a cb and lw, we'd challenge for scudetto.

actually this is a good point. you said what you think is happening.

usually when someone does this, he has the attitude of calling himself a guru
