i would though.

right now we only have bonucci and caceras as back up to defense.

even if we get sorensen back, that still leaves a slot for one defender in the squad.

Nesta is great but we should not be gathering veterans.

1 year deal would be fine but I doubt he'd accept that. And we should get somebody who's not injury prone (we're linked with Verthongen), quality too.

I think Nesta is the best defender I've seen.

Regarding injuries, I'd imagine there would be less pressure on him to be a starter at Juve should Barzagli continue to play well. Would need to be careful, for a season or two I'd love it. Was this thread started because of fresh rumours or for the fun of it?
Canna was the best defender I've seen play the game. And was certainly better than Nesta for a large part of their respective careers. In fact, Nesta as injury prone as he was, only fulfilled his world class potential much later into his career.

always liked Canna more than Nesta, personally.
True dat. Never thought he was a traitor though :p

Whats the point of getting this fella? He gets injured every 2-3 games. He's good and all but mostly injured.

What wages do you think we will offer? anything above 1.5-2m would be unexceptable. Please don't do this marotta.

We will probably end up giving nestle a 3 year contract :sergio:

and that is...good?

phrase is unnecessarily complex.

guaranteed quality, depth, zero transfer fee...
Yeah, all of that is fine and good if he's actually healthy. But is not realistic to expect him to be healthy. Might as well get Seedorf too, he's all of those things but he's healthy and he has a big booty.

Do it. It's not like we'll be buying a top CB anyway, so the only thing that changes, I guess, would be Bonucci becoming 4th choice instead of 3rd (which is good).

Woody you're making it sound like we would be signing Gastaldello.
What are we paying Ale? or Pirlo?

We are finally starting to be the real juve again and what we need is ONE young quality CB and our defense is sorted, yet marotta does his usual and makes a list of free agents before the mercato begins. There are many reasons i dont want nesta at juve and i dont think this will work out like it did with pirlo. One injury and this fossil will be on the shelf for half a season.

I really hope this is just a rumor :scared:

We use Pirlo to recruit him. :agree:

Granted, he's got Trezeguet-like Bag-O-Glass legs these days. But if we have sufficient backup power, he'd be a great add even with his years.
