Signing for as rotational option despite his sadly broken body, would be nice (understatement lol). His age is NOT an issue, since this would be for 1-2 seasons at best, sadly though him being near cripple is though.

If you can get near 2 dozen games out of him for a full season, it would be a successful enough (and would instantly be our best defender). But I somehow doubt his body would hold. But anyways, for sheer nostalgia of having the best defender I ever seen in our shirt, I would say yes. I cant describe how glad I would be to see this defending magical genius playing even one game for Juve.

The guy could fill in quite nicely, and it seems our injuries issues have been resolved as well, maybe his will too?

Saying now to this magical CB is ludicrous. He isn't coming to be a starter, but if he is fit and consistent who the hell knows. :D

Keep Grosso, re-sign Del Piero for another year and bring back Cannavaro. :touched:

I think Nesta is the best defender I've seen.

Regarding injuries, I'd imagine there would be less pressure on him to be a starter at Juve should Barzagli continue to play well. Would need to be careful, for a season or two I'd love it. Was this thread started because of fresh rumours or for the fun of it?

Nesta is 36, whereas Del Piero is 37. Signing Nesta on a two year contract, while terminating/not renewing a club legend's contract for another season so he can participate in the CL one last time, is disrespectful and inconsiderate.

next thing you know, we are signing Zambro next year...
O we should never leave Canna go, since we are desperate NOT to buy a non pure blood Italian CB...

If Nesta is willing to come and take a bench role and sub in for games, or start for some Coppa/Serie A games I'm all for it. He'll still a great player, even if he can't play a full season - he'd make a great rotation player.

Nesta is the best CB I've seen and he's put in performances this season against Barca that I doubt anyone else in the world could put in just now.

However, I wouldn't sign him.

Too injury prone and he is right at the tipping point just now - he can still put in the odd great performance, but you can see he's having to put himself under extraodinary strain to stay at that level.

Given his physical state, I suspect this season will be the last one in which he is able to put in great performaces and you'll see him go downhill next year and look very ordinary most of the time.

I hope he retires at the end of this season so that he goes out when he can still just about cut it at the top level rather than spending another season or two in decline.
