But I speak without bias I though Quag was too isolated in the game, and a part of it was down to his own lack of speed, but he never got engaged in the box, and that came down to how he links with somebody of Gio's charweristics. I've said this before, Matri should partner Gio and Quag should pair wi Vucinic. My humble opinion anyway.

But Matri did? When you hate or rate without bias, youl see that neither player are going to hit their stride being played the way they are. I don't think Quag had a good game. I just think he was able to get more stuck in than Matri. However both players will receive a lot of hate without getting any continuity whatsoever. Persist with them, because like we have done with Gi and they will come good. Makes all the difference. I've said this when Quag was blazing three to four weeks ago before inexplicably being benched. Even after Quag went off, Matri suffered too. Why do you think that is?

No, Matri didn't do anything of much substance either but his runs were dangerous and if he had controlled the ball better, he could've had two goals.

Without any doubt whatsoever Matri had better movement but that came down to how we structured our play. Put Quag next to someone who holds the ball and plays to feet, you'll see he's a dangerous player in the final third. Giovinco and Quag don't mix anyway coz neither hold the ball up. Vuci-Quag would be unpredictable IMO, and Gio-Matri, with both pairings being given a fair go to develop an understanding. Vuci-Gio don't work for me.

That was a terrible miss, no doubt.

The Shakhtar miss was a bit unlucky IMO. His technique for the shot was spot on, just didnt get hit it with enogh conviction.

Still our best finisher (by far) which shows how shite the finishing ability of our strikers is over all.
