Exactly. The hype surrounding Destro is some of the most ridiculous shit I've seen in the mercato in years.
He is a good player though. The problem is that anyone who gains attention ultimately gets overrated. Destro and his team have gone about this the wrong way, but I'm sure we have been blocking the move all along.

I don't doubt that the kid has potential to become a good, reliable Serie A striker, but at this point in time if you had to ask me who I would prefer to have as our back up striker between he and Matri, I'd go with Matri every time. Let's not even bring Pazzini into this equation, an absolutely cack player AND damaged goods.

Italian clubs know about the economical and financial turmoils that are surrounding the country and the sport.

All the Italian clubs are chasing and going into bidding wars for the best youngsters is because they can't afford the best in world anymore.

Whoever buys Destro, has made a wise decision and investment. He'll be a great player one day. If Roma pick him up for the reportedly 7M fee, I'll be very jealous.

It'd be 12m, I think.

5m for the 'loan' and then 7m to buy him.

7M my ass, Destro is a young Italian striker, he'd be worth at least 12M minimum. Clubs always pay more for hyped up, young Italians.
