Not for 15 mill that's called fucked in the ass
not really, if you're looking for cheaper alternatives then that wouldn't be called depth would it. you still want someone good enough to come in. Torres for 50mil on bench or Caroll for whatever stupid money on bench now that's fcked up. I don't see you bothering with Asamoah and Giovinco who are pricey back ups..

Meh, he's had big game performances against Inter and Milan since joining Juventus. I would hate to see him join them and score against us for a decent sum, fuck the good relationship between clubs, make them raise any offer significantly.

Some of you guys must be whacked out right now. :sergio:

This is coming from a Matri fan, someone who vouched for the guy over here even when the majority didn't want him.

If we can sell Matri to fund Jovetic, then that would be an amazing deal. Jovetic is a player you build a team around. Matri is almost 28 and has nothing to improve on. He'll always just be a 'good' striker. Whereas Jovetic could be the next big thing.

They are more rotational than back ups

The only way that this can possibly make sense is if:

    A) The budget that they have allocated for a top CF is mutually exclusive to selling any players

    and

    B) The funds used for matri's sale go towards Jovetic.

If they need to sell Matri in order to obtain an RVP, then that leaves Juve in the unenviable position of only having one true CF, and regardless of the formations of choice, be it the 3-5-2 or the 4-3-3, depth will be needed at that position

And that's when pazzini comes in

I agree with those who say that they are giving green light if this transfer funds Jovetic directly. However, I think it's rather retarded to either let him in order to get Pazzini, or just to accept loan with obligation to buy.

I Do not believe they would sell matri for pazzini. His funds will be for either RVP or JoJo pazzini will be just added depth

Toni exploded at this age too!
Matri is not bad and would accept the sub role both now and for the years to come.
He will be a reliable all around sub forward, with relatively low wages and decent value.

Giovinco, Vucinic, Pepe and Giaccherini, cannot play as CFs, not even occasionally as subs.
Whilst Matri can play occassionally to a supportive role, as he can dribble, pass and use his tactical awareness quite well.
Actually, even better than his finishing and target man role.

So, we should not be desperate to offload him. Unless he makes space for the major CF, but Borriello and DP already made space for that.
After signing that great CF, if we still have the money and the opportunity to upgrade Matri with another forward, then why not.
But only if we get a good enough offer for him, that would fund that upgrade.

Jovetic would be a major upgrade, as far as the SS role is concerned, but not as far as the finisher role is concerned, which happens to be our priority atm...
Pazzini would be an upgrade for the CF role, but would this mean that wont get a better one?
