What's the difference though, if we want Matri? The players have roughly the same value no matter who we negotiate with. That's turning into more of a Matri vs Sanchez/Pastore debate.

No it isn't. Marrone is someone Zamp could use in the middle. It's not just about the players we are getting rather the players that a club like Palermo/Udinese could use.

We could offer them Grosso, but they would be less likely to take him.

I see what you are saying although we don't really know who would take those players. It seems more likely that someone like Cagliari would accept Immobile and Pasquato for example, a few might take Marrone just like Giandonato, Ekdal and others. If we manage to get €5m off the cash price for Matri through lesser desired players then that could be used towards a fee for Sanchez/Palermo, could work either way.

I guess if you're going to loan them out you might as well sell them anyway. Who cares anymore. I'm sure we're on the right track, like we always are. Stay the course.

Depends on how much the options are worth. Getting a 5m discount now means little if we have to pay more to buy back their 50% at a later date.

I'm not to bothered though, as I expected them to be loan/co-owned. We might as well use them to knock down the price of someone we already have and want to keep.
