Look, if we want to compete in today's football, we had better start using our youth program. We can't keep spending all sorts of money for back up players like Pepe and Martinez who don't offer anything. If people here want to keep breaking the bank for backups instead of quality players, fine, enjoy your new Juventus under financial fair play. Otherwise, time to start using the Primavera on the side instead of bargaining chips.

Cagliari aren't interested in youngsters being included in the Matri deal?

We have to pay 15.5 million over 3 years, without any players. Cellino said that he spoke to Marotta and informed him that none of Juve's youngsters interest Cagliari

:agree: - Cellino wants only Juve's cash, no youngsters.

If it's payable in 3 years, as claimed above, you guys should be fine.

Aye, the agreed payment was already known about.

Rumours the other day were speaking about Juve trying to insert various mediocre kids into the deal to lower the price.

I think we will.

Matri
20 Goals - 1 Penalty.

Di Natale:
28 goals - 5 penalties

Cavani:
26 goals - 5 penalties

Eto'o :
21 goals - 4 penalties

in other words, if Matri were our penalty taker or Caglari's then he would've been even higher up the table.

I like Matri, I'm was a fan of his when he was at Caglari.

I'm not going to lie, I didn't like him at all before we got him, and was swearing from the first day we were linked with him to his eventual signing. I honestly thought he was another aquafresca, bianchi, lucarelli, etc, etc mid table striker. (and on top of that I was a pazzini fanboy..WAS). He has proved me wrong however and infact, has grown on me. I think 15.5 plus the 2 or 3 that we've already paid is pretty reasonable. Who are the other 20+ goal strikers availble for 16-19 mil. Hes already proved he is a great fit in our team, and more importantly, he continued to score while the rest of tthe team played like absolute shit, where many strikers of his paticular style go missing. I honestly belive things will only get better if this 'top player' in the attack arrives (as long as they are a support striker of some sort). And lets not start with the 'just add 10 mil to the 15 and get benz, or higuain, or whoever instead' ...beacuse that will will mean 10 less mil to go to this apparent star player, and somone like vucinic will arrive instead
