I have always been a Quagliarella fan, ever since I knew he existed.
Iaquinta, I always thought he is a good squad player but not more than that.
I was never a fan of Pazzini but I don't agree with people saying he is not good enough for Juve.
Gilardino I rate extremely low.
Matri, for me, is a step below all these but I really hope that he performs well and help us get somewhere.

Tricky, when we were playing well we did better away. When we played Palermo at home and got a whooping, we were actually playing good, it was our first game where I saw the team playing. It was really unfortunate that we conceded that early. While I am hoping that the game against Palermo will again be the game where the team starts working, I am still not able to have faith in them. When we played Udinese on Sunday, we actually did well to minimize their threat and you know how much they have been scoring and against what teams. In the end it went down to a mistake where we lost the entire balance. The same thing happened against Palermo in the home game.
So what can I conclude?
If we can maintain balance and actually wake up, I don't see Palermo score two or more against us but a simple mistake might see them score at least three goals. And the fact that we are mistake prone, it is worth the risk if you are willing to accept the losses.

These sort of players have been bought before (Bianchi, Silenzi, Corradi), but there are two reasons; they are usually expensive in comparison to their ability and what you could get from France, Netherlands etc, and their style suits Italian football far better than others. I don't see many or even any teams in England or Spain who use those sort of players. More technical in Spain, more athletic in England, as a general rule.
Look at the top four ranked leagues, most of the players in their national teams play in their domestic league, it's no coincidence. It's only in countries with a national league that isn't capable of hosting the top players from the national team that the players all move abroad, starting from France down.

Some good points. 
Whenever an Italian striker scores a few goals or makes it to the Italian NT they get overrated. Compare that to England for example where if an English striker makes the English NT or does good in PL nobody really cares. I mean take Agbonlahor, Carlton Cole, Zamora or Bent for example, if they were Italian and played in Serie A for a small team we would have been all over them. In England? Big teams don't care..
