for me ,,, he is better than tevez deal
I think it's a bit ealy to judge the Tevez-deal, i hope you won't be right ;-)

I like Matri, and i would prefer to see him somewhere else than Napoli, but i'm not really sure there actually is interest from the Premier as it has been reported. Would be cool to see him in PL though, also because i wouldn't like to see him against us...

Also.. im not too confident with our team as of late. And is not only because of the preseason friendlies....
A lot of people may disagree here, but I don't think we will win our third straight scudetto this season. I feel like some of it will be down to motivation or lack thereof, some down to an overdependence on certain players. And I genuinely believe we are going to be missing the 'Giaccherini' factor off the bench when the chips are down. Over the course of the season, these are some of the variables that will affect us IMO.

Maybe not to us... but he could be a good rotational player for them and help them earn points against lower opponents on the long run in serie A.

Heck, he can even be a treat to us if their midfield improves, which it likely looks like will happen.

i get where you are coming from. but let me tell you something.

if matri proves to be the deciding factor for napoli in serie a, then juventus didnt deserve to win serie a. juventus' enemy is itself. players like pirlo, vidal and barzagli performing are going to be the deciding factor.

this might be our last chance to sell him before his value depreciates any further

I don't know why but when it comes to Matri and even Quagliarella IMO, the standars for what is alot and good is lower, are people trying to be nice to them? Or are they so big fan of them that they can't face the reality :D

Matri 2011/2012 31 games 10 goals

2012/2013 22 games 8 goals

In Serie A
12/13: 8 goals in 22 matches (goal every 2.75 matches)
11/12: 10 goals in 31 matches (goal every 3.1 matches)
10/11: 20 goals in 38 matches (goal every 1.9 matches)

Di Natale 2010/2011 36 games 28 goals
2011/2012 36 games 23 goals
2012/2013 33 games 23 goals

Cavani 2010/2011 36 games 26 goals
2011/2012 35 games 23 goals
2012/2013 34 games 29 goals

This is goalscorers, not Matri with 8 goals or 10 goals, we are not Chievo ffs. In Juventus we should have strikers who scores 20+ goals a season. The best argument for a Matri fan is that he is a good sub to have on the bench. Vucinic doesen't score much either but he offers more to the play that's why I want him to stay. Matri is a striker and should score more, especially if he want to play in a team like Juventus.

We need to sell strikers, and we won't miss 8 goals a season, and neither will we miss his amazing contribution to our play.

how many goals did Matri score from Jan 2011 to Jan 2012, when he was the undisputed starting ST for Juve?

For two years they were the only 'strikers' we had and they fought to be starters here. It's just because both were inconsistent Conte rotated both.

Besides I think that our system doesn't support our strikers enough. 3-5-2 is about movement of our midfield while attack drops back to help out with buildup play. If our forwards have to play with their backs to goal it's not easy to score a lot.

Bottom line is we signed Tevez and Llorente so we have to sell now. Vucinic is not for sale and so is Giovinco. Quag and Matri have to leave simple as that.

Wow, people desperately wanted new strikers to replace "deadwood" we have, and now that we finally found them, they don't want to get rid of our "deadwood", silly...

The way some people go on about here, you'd have to think we're selling Inzaghi to Napoli or something.Please...He is a decent striker but for 12m ,you should take that and run ASAP..You're not going to get offers like that for him again.
