I think Conte has destroyed his confidence. Give this guy unlimited credit and always play him, he'll repay in goals. This was the kind of treatment a striker like Trez needed as well. The confidence of always playing, he'd get a goal sooner or later.

You can see it in his face as well. He is lacking confidence and most of that is due to Conte not showing enough faith in him and picking the useless Borriello over him on one too many occasions.

This guy still has plenty of goals left in him, he just needs to be played constantly and be given adequate service.

Agreed. He should have played Coppa instead of Boriello and many other matches. How Boriello was ahead of him in some matches is beyond me.

But then again, Boriello was ahead of Del Piero too

no i don't I never rated Matri that high as some of you do here. The new trez . For me it is clear if we had someone like higiuan, cavani that we would had easily be on top. No defense in serie shit their pants of matri. and people defending him that he didn't get service and that
in fact he is average and his stats of this season showed that. 10 goals in one the most attacking teams of serie A .

He's always looking for Conte's approval. Unfortunately he's lost his rhythmn and confidence. And it's really sad to see that fucking Borriello has affected not only our ability to score, but our leading goalscorer as well. I hope Conte reinvests some faith in this guy because he's a handy player to have around. Lets see what happens.

He's a good player Bezz. His game is optimised in the box. Its just that I personally don't think jts helped to rotate him at a time when he was scoring. His appearances have not had continuity since Borriello's arrival. And anyone in his place would suffer in the same way that he is. There's no doubt that he's a goal scorer, but I personally feel he's better suited to having Alex or Quag besides him than Vucinic, because Vucinic drifts a lot wider, while Matri needs somebody to play off. It also has to do with the fact that we play the 433 and it doesn't necessarily suit our attacking line. Save Vucinic of course.
