@Juvejay:  What do you think?

@3EBlind: I am indeed worried over the financial aspect. Iaquinta is unreliable, particularly with all his injuries, so Im not sure we will get anything for him, seeing as he isn't getting any younger. As for Amauri, do you really expect him to perform miracles @ Parma? Assuming he does, who would want him? Bear in mind, that team will have to afford his substantial wages as well.

What did you expect him to do in one day?
Except he didnt have one day, he had a full month.

The way I see it is that in loan deals with buying options you are forced to pay over the value of a player because you're also paying for the luxury of not keeping the player if he flops. And if he doesn't flop and becomes the best thing since sliced bread, his value would have undoubtedly risen. Loans with options to buy are a bet on the future and both teams need to feel secure, that whatever the outcome of the stint they have decent options.
True, in real loan deals. This is not one of them, as Alen and I said before, we've already promised we'll buy him and we will regardless of how he does.

I think we can get a decent price for Iaquinta; I would say around 6-7 million. Amauri will probably get us around 3 million. These are just guesses off the top of my head.

We're going to pay Cagliari for Matri in three difference installments right?
That's around 4 million a season. Amauri and IQ's wages are around 7 million per season.

All in all, I think we would have covered the costs of the transfer by selling Amauri and Iaquinta. Matri's wages are not very high.
So we get a young in form striker who is having a great season instead of two washed up, out of form, unfit strikers, and we manage to do that at a minimal cost.

I would call that a good deal.

Except we haven't made those sales yet, so it's too early to pretend like we have.

Right but we have Del piero, Toni, IQ, Amauri, Quaggy, Matri. That's 6 strikers, and I highly doubt more than 4 will remain next season; it would be very illogical to keep them all. It would be reasonable to speculate that we will get rid of two strikers and that would pretty much cover our expenses for Matri.

Sell: Iaq, Amauri and Martinez
Buy: Benzema, loan Quagz for another year, buy Matri if he does well and trade Sissoko + 10 mill for Gilardinos ass

Oh yeah, extend DP contract.

Well, Toni will not bring in cash. Iaquinta should, but with his injuries other clubs may not have any confidence in him.

Good point, but I'm sure there are many clubs that would take IQ for a small fee or even for free. That alone would be enough to cover Matri's costs for the next 3 seasons; since we wouldn't have to pay IQ. As for Toni; you're right which is why I think he'll probably stay. Amauri is most probably leaving and again, any transfer fee for him would help us a lot financially.

Best quote ever.

Cagliari President - I looked into his eyes and said please stay, I'll double your wages.

Matri - It's not about the money, it's a dream come true.
