I actually like Diamanti but the only problem is that he will be bought and his fees will be high enough and hinder the purchase of another more needed player. Typical Marotta especially with the "Conte wants".
 Get what we need first, before getting more fillers.

Gosh. What a disgusting player. I am going to cuss him out as much as I can, before this disgusting piece of fecal matter, this neanderthal joins our club and taints our colors :yuck: :inter:

It's not easy for the remaining true fans.

They only want what's best for us. So they will bitch about players they deem unsatisfactory.
Which presents them with an extremely tricky situation, since we're actually winning with those same players.
There are just 2 options for them: to be happy/grateful & stop bitching or to be unhappy with the situation & keep bitching.

And I think option 1 is not even a real option for true fans.

Bologna aren't going to sell him for peanuts, considering he's arguably their best player. You either pay the fee or you don't, there is no 'too much'. We aren't getting him for €5m.

Then we shouldn't get him at all.

Oh yes. Such an arrogant pretentious post there. We are indeed winning, but to continue staying at the top, you need to make the right sort of investments. Getting to the top is the easy part; staying there is what is hard. You can bet your bottom dollar that other teams will significantly upgrade.

As much as I dislike Diamanti, I wouldn't be averse to seeing him signed on deadline day, but we shouldn't be wasting time and money on these types of transfers. The reason I worry is because I have seen how Marotta operates, and come August 31st Im sure he will have some excuses if we fail to land our targets, or significantly upgrade.

Whole point of this transfer is that Marotten doesn't want dicknosedcamelface so he has to develop an excuse. When we got this useless player of Bologna, he will tell us that we can't afford a top player anymore.

Here's the thing: you bitch about every single one of our potential transfers when it's not a big name (which is every transfer, essentially).

The bold part is priceless, considering our recent history. A recent history where the one time we actually spent big on quality instead of quantity, we lost 2 entire seasons (or more, depending on how you look at it).

I personally don't even "want" Diamanti, but some of the reactions here (yours included) are downright laughable.

Why wasting money on a 30 year old player who isn't good enough for a top team? He's a nice player for teams who are fighting a place in de top 10, a team like Inter..

He shouldn't be our target, it would be very stupid to buy him.. If we can't take a top forward like Suarez or Benzema I would take Gaston Ramirez, Lamela, Muriel and those player over a 30 year old selfish Diamanti.

Muriel and Sanchez are hardly big names. Isco and Reus are promising young players, not established superstars. I'd be happy with those types of transfers. Hence, your argument about requiring a big name to appease me, is not entirely true ;)

As for our recent history, I agree that Secco committed some major blunders, but we need to move forward.

Fair enough. Replace big name players with expensive and/or promising young players.

where conte plans to use this guy? :/

With Ibra and Nani/Sanchez talk, maybe he wants to go back to attacking 442? but then again, we have great central mids, so it doesn't make sense
