You know, with the likes of Miccoli and Maresca we're a lot less forgiving for having snubbed our club for its lack of interest. The fact of the matter is Gilardino wants Milan, even though his father has conceded that Juve have shown interest, he still seems to long for Milan. If he was indeed a loyal fan he would've let Parma know in no uncertain terms, it was either Juve or nothing, quite like he has thrown down the gauntlet for Milan. So lets not try and justify his stance, because hes chosen Milan, and I think we should leave it at that. I wish for him to solve Italy's problems up front, and lets hope his career takes off the way we all think it will. I for one, have never been too keen for him from last season, because of the adequate skill we already have on board, and most importantly players who are gelling well. Again, from the beginning, I've always thought Cassano would be more appropriate if we indeed needed to upgrade our attack, and I'm pretty happy to see things turning out the way they are.
It's fairly obvious that Juve don't want Gilardino and even more obvious that he wants to remain in Serie A which means he has two realistic options: Milan and Inter. That is IMO why he has chosen Milan.

Lets be realistic. Even if Juve are/were interested in Gila, they know his price point is too much of a risk, given we have 6 strikers on our books already, each of whom are world class.

He seemed out of it all of last season, yet you will see his goal tally stands at 9 goals. 2 of those goals were the most important ones of our season. So really, i think Trezeguet is an integral part of our attack, and love him or hate him, the fact remains, when he's on the field, our half chances are converted. And he deserves full credit for that.

Either way John, he still scores. He can be invisible throughout the 90 minutes and give him two chances and you get two goals.

I am actually quite happy with Moggi's interview, but I do hope the other 10% will come to strengthen our team. Although I did not like the part where he said "Giannichedda is a player to partner or replace Emerson" (if I understood that comment well). Giannichedda is just average to me.. It does not seem like he is competent enough to partner Emo to face Europe. I hope I'm wrong.

All true sal, same to u baggio, everything u said was correct.

But wouldnt you prefer a natural goalscorer is a threat physically, aerial on the deck, pace etc, not the one dimeensional player trez is?

Trez's first few seasons he was far more rounded than he was recently.

My arguement is that trez is needs to get back someconsistancy of mass goalscoring to justify his place in the team.....nine goal, yes they were important....but i would expect 19 from the player who is effectively our primary source of goals.

Yes, 9 goals, but why you discounting the fact that he was injured for the better part of the season. Give him an entire season, and he'll do justice to the scoring charts. We've been patient enough with him when he was injured, and now would be a bad time to let go of him, when he's all set to go great guns. Sure, he may not be a adept at dribbling or contributing much to team play, but look at Zlatan, he does all that, but cant finish. So the point is, we've got enough specialists up front to do what they're best at. Trezeguet's primary role is to score goals. If he does that, for me, that justifies his place on this team.
