i know what you mean, for example i love the performance in serpico but feel the story could have been tighter and a bit tenser, yet loved carlitos way. like i said i love both actors and it is a close run thing, its all about prefference. just will always defend de niro when dumbases compare scarface to meet the fockers:p

at least with you i can have a reasonable conversation............dumbass
I thought Serpico was great and he was great in it. Definetly it's a close call but like I said, Pacino's movies I simply like a little more. Men of Honor, now that's a great De Niro performance, the movie is so-so but he was amazing in there, one of his better roles IMO.

tbh, de niro is the more versatile of the actors. look at his roles in goodfellas, a complete toughnut and in raging bull hes a quite reserved amn who has strong feelings, hell he can even do comedies. pacino is good and was bettr wwhen he started out but i feel that hes run out of gas towards the end of his career.

i'm glad Al pacino turned down the role of jimmy burke, he would have been shit in it. he even regretted it, i dont think he would play it anywhere as good as de niro.
