No, the body searches can be done "at random". Or if you refuse to go through the naked body scanner, called "opting out", you must be hand-searched by an agent waiting there for you wearing blue gloves.

The cavity search, at least for now, consists of an agent sticking his hand down your pants, feeling around your underwear. If you have baggy clothes on, you may need a cavity search. And yes, they've done it to children.

This shit is so fucking perverted it's unbelievable.

Napolitano considering allowing Muslim women to pat themselves down at Airports!

" The head of Homeland Security has indicated the government is considering
the request of an Islamic organization that has suggested Muslim women
be allowed to pat themselves down during a full body search that is
part of new enhanced procedures at airports. "

    http://www.greeleygazette.com/press/?p=6687

As I said, all this is not for Islamic terrorists. It's for the general population.

What kind of bum-fuckery is that?

So they think whitey is out to get them? I just don't understand... It's really quite scary.

For all of it's advancement's, technology and freedom America is becoming one ass backwards place. Reminds me of what George Carlin used to say, "they give you the illusion of choice. Want insurance? Pick one of the big boys. Want a bagel? Oh yeah we got 35 different flavors."

Obviously not word for word, so I dunno why I quoted but that's the gist of it.

All you have to do is take a look at Homeland Security reports and stuff like the MIAC Report. They are now shifting their focus to domestic terrorists, which they say could include conservatives, gun owners, libertarians, returning veterans, and other groups that are against the establishment.

The hand searching isn't as bad, it takes a lot of time (about 5 mins) and a same-sex agent touches you basically everywhere but it wasn't perverted. They don;t touch your genitals or anything

I agree the searches can be annoying but I would rather be searched along with everyone that's getting on the same flight as I am to guarantee my security on board

    Meh.

Security doesn't bother me that much.

I'm the guy who'll be joking about bombs and terrorists (out of the earshot of security folk) when in the queue to get on a plane.

Yes they do, they "pat" them. And not only that, they have started reaching down your pants if you have baggy clothes on. This is pretty well documented and the outrage is growing.

5 minutes of someone feeling you down? You really don't mind that?

I'd rather have a female performing this than some perverted mongoloid.

Guarantee? What guarantee? You have a guarantee that someone won't shoot an RPG at the plane during takeoff? Do you have a guarantee that a device isn't planted somewhere else on the aircraft? Not really.

Or in the case of Kurt Haskell, lawyer from Michigan, he witnessed men in suits approach the boarding area, flash some badges, and got the Underwear bomber on the plane at the Amsterdam airport. No passport, but he was still allowed on the plane to Detroit without going through the body scanners.

    You still feel safe?

I had a pretty severe 'patting down' just to get into a game of football last weekend.

No point in complaining, though; the authorities have never given a shit about what fans think.

My genitals weren't touched when I was searched.

I don't mind 5 minutes of being searched with that security wand that makes a sound if you have something metalic on you. The actual "patting" lasted about a minute and she mostly touched my legs, stomach and arms.

And don't travel with baggy clothes on. It should be common sense, just like you don't travel with shoes that are hard to put on/take off
