Guarantee? What guarantee? You have a guarantee that someone won't shoot an RPG at the plane during takeoff? Do you have a guarantee that a device isn't planted somewhere else on the aircraft? Not really.

Or in the case of Kurt Haskell, lawyer from Michigan, he witnessed men in suits approach the boarding area, flash some badges, and got the Underwear bomber on the plane at the Amsterdam airport. No passport, but he was still allowed on the plane to Detroit without going through the body scanners.

You still feel safe?
No, I'm scared shitless, but this extreme security measures at least lower the odds of my plane being hijacked

I had a pretty severe 'patting down' just to get into a game of football last weekend.

No point in complaining, though; the authorities have never given a shit about what fans think.
There are multiple and severe "patting downs" here in most sports and music events

Here all they check for is to make sure you don't bring in your own alcohol so you have to buy it there.

US. There are no such security measures in local airports here. Actually all international airports have to reach a certain standard imposed by the TSA in order to have US-bound flights. Security measures here aren't as tight when you board a non US bound flight

Yeah here they mostly check for alcohol and knives, guns, etc

No need to be scared shitless. You have a better chance dying of a bee sting or car accident.

Do you know how many bombers TSA has caught thus far?

    Hint: It's less than one.

What about the guy they caught that had the ingredients to make a bomb in a shampoo bottle (I think) and that's why now you're not allowed to travel with anything liquid

Wasn't that in Europe? I don't recall there being a serious threat in that case.

But if you don't mind being felt up, then be my guest. In my view, this is nothing but police state bullshit.

Bee stings are deadlier than in-flight terrorism. Lets start setting up body scanners at bee farms to protect us from this grave threat.

Fabi, you really shouldn't be scared of being on the same plane as terrorists. The odds are not as high as the fear mongers would have you think. If they were really intent on performing an act of terror, they wouldn't likely be so hapless about it.

    Meh.

Security doesn't bother me that much.

I'm the guy who'll be joking about bombs and terrorists (out of the earshot of security folk) when in the queue to get on a plane.
I'll be the guy that laughs most loudly at your jokes, but would never dare to make the same jokes :p

So here's the proof of children being strip searched and fondled.

His dad just stood there and accepted this for his son. Shame on him.

Fuck TSA and this criminal government.
