Also, we havent actually bought Appiah yet.

He's on loan and we have an option to buy him at the end of the season, kinda like with Di Vaio.
Like DYO?

IMO you are argueing about positions between nowadays no clear distinction can be made.

Just take Zambro he can play either winger, wing mid, or wingback.

Of course the heart of the thing is the balance between defending and attacking, but its very rare to find an original side-back in elite clubs, cause its a kinda waste.

No matter how we call it, but in 433 you need guys on the sides who can do both defend and attack in a decent level, if more attacking, you need better defending mids and vice versa.

btw our lineup with Davids was something like 433 not a strick one, and as you can see on the right: a good def who likes to attack is companied with an attacking minded Camoranesi. On the left there are Zambro a good attacker who like to defend partnered by Edgar a good defending mid, who likes to attack.

What! No natural playmaker? I will kill myself if Moggi doesn't keep Nedved or buy a replacement for him!

This team and formation sucks! We will turn into another Inter Milan; no playermaker= no creativity. No creativity= Inter. Inter= a suck arse team!

Sorry, but with this lineup we will not do much better than this year; a complete nightmare. No good team can survive without a natural playmaker. Milan, Real Madrid, Deportivo, and even Chelsea all succeeded this year because they have natural playmaker(s). This team you have put together will have no control and creativity and Del Piero will once again have to act as a playmaker, and you all know how that works for us (C.L. Final against Milan, we sucked). All great teams need a playmaker to lead the team, no question.
who was the natural playmaker in the 96 team?

    you didnt answer the questions.

what do you think the rb and lb roles are in a 433?

It depends on which players you have on the field. If you have all central midfielders in the midfield, then you need to have some quick, offensive fullbacks (otherwise known as wing-backs) to offer some flank play. If you have wide players in midfield, then you probably want more defensively minded players at fullback.
