Hello, I'm a Heerenveensupporter and I've seen Afonso Alves in every home match and a couple of away-matches. We've had a few really good strikers here in the past(Tomasson, Huntelaar and Van Nistelrooy), but none of theme were as good and complete as Alves. His speciality is his freekick. Some of them look impossible or catchable for the goalkeepers, but many of his 'victims' told the ball just kept going up and down, which made it very difficult to stop. Today I watched him on the trainingground and he plays so intelligent.
I spotted the Dutch in you :D

Welcome to the forums :)

Just like I said, Huntelaar is nothing more than a younger Trezeguet. He doesn´t dribble, he can´t create and he doesn´t run much. But still people can´t wait to get rid of Trezeguet and get practically the same kind of player.

I don´t see any sense in that as I´m sure Trezeguet will be deadly again in Serie A.

-The board might think that Huntelaar is the ideal replacement for Trez, this situation is the same when we bought Trez to replace Inzaghi

I agree. But a team needs more than 1 goalscoring machine, look at Barca and Eto'o :) Hopefully the board thinks like this too. Del Piero/Palladino and Trezeguet/Huntelaar. 2 megastars, 2 HOT prospects who can take over in the near future.
