As expert in residence who hasn't worn a watch for 10 years, all the 4 look pretty lame to me. You don't want a metal chain, it tends to chafe the skin. Much better to get a plastic one.

Plus digital watches are so much cooler, they have a dozen different modes, not one display where everything is crammed into it.

I've never had any problem with the metal bracelet on my watch rubbing against my skin.

And if a watch tells the time and looks good, that's all I want. I'm not bothered what other modes it has or if I can wear it 100m under water or anything like that.

i like metal chains, to me like i said, it's like jewelry, and digital watches are ok, but they look a bit geeky imo, i have a £10 casio that i wear in the gym, but generally i find a nice metal wristwatch (can be with a leather strap) compliments what i wear

I couldn't live without a watch. You say check the mobile phone. Pretty lame IMO. You have to pull the mobile out of your pocket to check the time while I just need to divert my look onto my hand to see the time. Plus, watches are like some sort of jewelry, it gives you a nice look, compliments your hand nicely. Plastic or rubber strap sucks and it looks cheap. Digital watches are not my thing and I find their options useless. Classical metal chained analog watch is the shit. :agree:

At least a watch beats a tattoo, now those are really dumb looking :D
yea i hate tattoo's, but have you noticed so many footballers have them, even the ones you wouldn't expect like del piero and maldini

(and how the hell did tattoo's get into a thread about watches??!!!)

Ive never been tempted to get one but what i find ridiculous is when ppl put tattoo's of their gf/wives names or favourite sporting team.
Of course, but what would you consider a good thing to tattoo on your skin?

:D judging by the cars you drive, if u had a watch it would be something like a rolex or a jaeger lecoultre
I have a gold rolex that my late grandad left for me but i never ever wear it,it has way too much sentimental value for me.I have a tag infact.

why don't you just buy a new HP laptop running windows Vista? it's got Windows Sidebar which has a clock gadget! you can change how the clock looks, and also make it look digital... just how Martin likes it! ;)
