“I can confirm that if Rabiot were to stay at Juventus it would take advantage of the growth decree and this is the key to his renewal, which would be at the same salary as he is on now €8m. There is also room for his mother/agent to ask for a raise in salary and it would be granted without any doubt.” (@romeoagresti)

Agresti just said that if Rabiot renews he can still use the growth decree. This makes much more sense. His 7m is like what? 4.5m for a player with out the decree?
closer to 5m but still a good deal with the tax relief

(if he's on 9m as agresti says then it's the equivalent of a ~6.4m net wage without the growth decree)

I thought they removed the growth decree and even if they didn’t, there is a five year limit no? Or does that not apply to athletes?

with so many games next season I can see now why we would want to keep him for that amount. Koopmeiners addes and its pretty good midfield. I just wonder what about those Douglas Luiz rumours. Maybe we want to sell Locatelli?

Funny how desperate he seems about being a captain. True role model, you are, Adrien.

He has two good seasons in his career. One of which was in a PSG. I really don't mind letting him go. He MIGHT do something decent every now and then, but he can't pass, can't hit the target, can't dribble, is usually penalized in his attempts for turnover. He has good stamina but doesn't really utilize it. Matuidi offered more in attack by running around and creating space, which Rabiot only does occasionally. He could potentially do more good things but he is way past "might", he is a 29 year old that never really took off.

he's also been bad under multiple coaches now between juve and psg. thats like 8 coaches so you can't say ohhh new coach will get his potential out.

Yaaay. Cuck Club.

And I don't want the Fags who are endorsing this shitfuckery to come at me with the Growth Decree BS - that's not how other players see it. They're going to be saying, "Oh look. This nonchalant Benign Baguette Pussyfag Shitcunt is getting close to 8 million a year for prancing around the pitch like a faggy pony, having sleepwalked his way for 3 years, showed up for one, and been mid for the other. Shouldn't I be getting the same amount of money for minimum output maximum indifference?"

rabiot's 5 seasons at juve:
1. he hasn't played for almost a year, bad physical condition, slow start, pretty disappointing
2. bang average
3. bang average
4. expiring contract, somewhat motivated, his highest scoring season
5. expiring contract once again, yet a mixed season. insert gattuso sometimes maybe good classic

i get why we keep him. he'll cost less than 10m and he can somewhat reliably play his game. good in duels (especially when he tries), decent passer, can score, enters the opposition penalty area more than most mids, above average injury record, can press. not a terrible player actually. but when it's the growth decree and the fact that his amortization is basically zero that keeps him around as a starter...

probably the most significant symptom of our banter era. my only faint hope is that motta as a former team mate, friend and even alleged father figure for rabiot can keep him motivated

b81 is right. other players will see salary rabiot is getting while doing fuck all as bench mark.

no wonder chiesa and woj and mckennie and others want higher salary. why shouldn't they when club agrees to give him 9m per season.

Imagine knowing your coworker gets paid 1.5+ times your salary for any reason other than performance and being ok with it.
