A couple good matches and suddenly he’s consistently outperformed Locatelli who was by far our best CM from September to January. Tuz :lol2:
yeah, he had one good game also he always hits that form at the end of the season, but keeps beign shit the rest of the time. dont get fooled guys, though i must say i would probably prefer to part ways with Arthur than him, Melo just dont fit our general play it seems.

I am still sitting here days after the Inter game and wonder what the fuck happened to Rabiot on that game. He is a mystery. Why he is utter shit for 90% of the games, looking like he does not care & and suddently he goes absolute mental, playing like a world class, showing he care... I dont get it man..
Its his birthday right?

Although he has struggled, i wouldn't say he doesn't care. He has been throwing himself in front of shots this whole season. It has just gone unnoticed because what follows hasn't been great.

Let's embrace that little quality we have in our midfield. This guy is a monster on his day. We just need to help him have more of those. Because on his day, there aren't many better than him in what he does. We need that.

Some people here might think they understand more than Allegri and Deschamps. I promise you. They don't.

Now I don't know if things will work out or not. But the worst thing we can do is ship our best midfielder out because he has been struggling. Especially since our other midfielders aren't really that good.

Yes, but I have also seen him dont care on multiple occasions. I remember a game against Napoli , where he lost the ball on Napoli half, and instead of chasing back, he just like waved he hands and starting 'casually' walking back. At that moment, he made it into my blacklist. This is a mentality and attitude you would never see from Mandzukic, Vidal, Tevez. The animals. I miss those characters.

Yes Rabiot have been getting a lot of critic , and some of it has maybe not always been fair, but his performance against Inter is so far from a lot of the other performances he had in the Juventus shirt, and the sad part for me is that this performance against Inter was more a fighter game, where it looked like he really cared, its not like he is a striker who suddently scored and got confidence. He just cared a lot. All of this I am talking about is my EYE-TEST and as a couch-coach I am most likely wrong. But this is football, and football is emotions, and when I watch a player casually walking back and not fighting, I just get pissed.

But I was very pleased with his performance against Inter, and if he continue on this path my view on him will most likely change, a view that means nothing for anyone anyway. But I do hope he can bounce back and turn up like at Inter, but sadly I highly doubt it.

Ok so he has all the ability to be a midfield monster for us, this isn't breaking news. The question is why he can't play at his A game on a consistent basis. He has played under plenty of managers, none have been able to unlock his mental ability to perform great on a consistent basis.

I'd rather sell hum, put the money and salary towards SMS or the like.

It definitely is breaking news to me. He neither has the technique nor intelligence to be a monster. The only thing he can offer is physicality which he often doesn't.
Amen and period
This guy is a 3M a year player sitting on 7M.
Yeah average mentality and technique and above average physicality, which is not effective enough because of his first two shortcomings.
I always say put sturaros grinta in this guy and you have the world's best workhorse but this mofo is too much of a pussy to achieve even that much.

I disagree. He was a monster against Inter.

Has he been the whole season? No. I've been as harsh as everyone else on the criticism throughout the season. All your points are valid and true. My original point, was that it would be a mistake to let him go because he's our best midfielder, by a lot. Clearly.

Instead of letting him go, I would prefer to see what Allegri has in store for him next season, when we actually have a team that doesn't include Arthur in his position, and Rabiot playing on the left. He's been lost throughout this season. Completely.

But, if he can play like he did against Inter, our chances against Liverpool next season lies in him repeating that performance. Because there's not a single midfielder in our team, except Rabiot, who's capable of dominating a game like that.

Locatelli is half the player Rabiot is capable of being. And we won't go anywhere with that. That's a guarantee.

That Inter game was a revelation. When Allegri came into this team, it was a mess. Slowly but surely we've been gaining an identity. 16 consecutive games without losing. A coach like Allegri creates his team from back to front. And our midfield has been under construction since the beginning of the season. He's been playing Rabiot out of position this whole season. I promise you, Allegri considers Rabiot his new jewel after what he witnessed against Inter. He hasn't even stopped talking about him. He'll revert to playing with three in games like against Cagliari, probably. But when we really need to play, Rabiot will be tasked to control the game. Locatelli will be industrial, and someone creative will be getting the ball to feet from Rabiot.

The idea of selling Rabiot is just, on a simple footballing term, stupid. I say bring in SMS, and Rabiot will dominate the deep half, Locatelli will be industrial helping him out, and Savic can make runs forward and join Vlahovic. Now that's a monster midfield. Another monster up front in Vlahovic. And another monster playing off him, Chiesa.

We're actually only a few pieces missing from being absolutely monstrous. Add a bit of cohesion and game on. Can't wait for next season.

For players that shine in every 3 games throughout the season (especially near the end to keep his place)
We must take this momentum to gain the capital advantage (plusvalenza) from that kind of performance

Lets admit it even if he can play at consistent basis @80% of his Inter game throughout a season even that is still far from worldclass midfielder
if we can get sum of around 50m from him and Arthur, lets spend those money on SMS (this year he is on fire with 9 goals and 9 assists in all comp)
With both players salary sum of 7m+6.5m = 13,5m. If someone suggest Rabiot is twice of Locatelli then he is a calibre of 60m valued midfielder (no one in sane mind will pay 60m for Rabiot). Lets be honest in his current age with SMS (they only separate for 2 months birth date), for years he even not near SMS calibre. Some tuzzers maybe will say I am insane to think we can get 50m for both Arthur and Rabiot

SMS currently only getting around ~5m per year. So we can offer him 8m+ bonus to be circa 10m (double from his current salary) and save 3.5m per season for the next 5 years. And we can offer at least 50m+(3,5m*5 years) from salary saving = 67.5m for SMS. even if we offer them 80m that means our investment we need to add on top of that transfer money and salary saving is around 12,5m for 5 years on SMS >> 2,5m per years

We will get monster midifelders that we need, we can cash him out when he is around 30-31 years old before his contract runs out (Fagioli and Rovella already established too). And use that money to invest in a more younger upcoming worldclass midfielder

Promote Rovella, Fagioli with McKennie as backup. we will have Locatelli, SMS , Zakaria as our main midfielder. Send Miretti on loan to gain experience

And please dont buy Zaniolo, even if he is an exciting prospect that ACL injury is a big risk to take (especially with our butcher)

I would begin to question myself the day you agree with me
Your existence is irrelevant and inconsequential to me, so I don't put much stock in what you say or believe in. Nonetheless, I feel honored and privileged that you continue to disagree with me. Anyone who values Fagiot needs his/her head examined anyway.
