Italian newspapers are today reporting that Juve have signed Christian Abbiati from Milan on loan for one season. He was offered to Juve by Berlusconi because of Buffon's injury. Milan felt bad that Buffon was injured from a challenge from Kaka' in a friendly at thier home ground.

Juve will decide in January 2006 whether to keep Abbiati or give him back to Milan to either keep, loan back out or sell.

Juve complete Abbiati swoop

Juventus have a new goalkeeper after Milan allowed Christian Abbiati to join their rivals on loan.

The 28-year-old has signed for the Turin giants on a one-year deal following injury to Gigi Buffon.

Abbiati will become the club’s first choice shot-stopper for at least the next three months, while Buffon recovers from shoulder surgery.

Juventus swooped for Abbiati just days after the international left Genoa following their demotion to Serie C.

He had previously agreed to join the port club on loan earlier this summer but moved back to Milan this week.

Abbiati has spent the last seven years at Milan but has endured a difficult last two seasons at the San Siro as Nelson Dida’s No 2.

Papers are also reporting that Milan are preparing a bid for Cassano. Are they doing this just to sweeten the blow of beating us to Antonio?

I'm not sure if this was the right way to replace Gigi.
Imagine if Christian will let in some goals which were unneccessary - everyone will cry that he is a Milan keeper and so on.
Let's wait and see...

I doubt that Antonio will go to Milan. They already have Sheva, Gila, Vieri and Inzaghi and I don't think that they need another striker...

This whole Abbiati thing and Milan "helping" is a part of a media stunt.
