He's a much better player as a #8

The two things Arsenal fans always loved about him were his non stop workrate and his dangerous runs from deep. Both qualities were redundant when he's sitting behind the two strikers trying to create.

Obviously SPAL are shit but our team hasn't been lighting up any game really so it's still an obvious improvement from him.

He is a #8. Even Paratici said this when we bought him but he's played there maybe two times for us.

Very good game.

Excellent run and finish for his goal.

Also had a pre-assist on CR7s goal :baus:

It’s been obvious all season long that he is not a #10 whatsoever. He doesn’t have the vision, the ball-playing ability and the creativity needed for the role. But he is a very, very good B2B player and if he’s given a run of games there he would always show his worth.

Even in this up and down season for him that’s his third goal. Not bad and obviously he can show us a lot more.
