fuk that he has 2 passports one turkish and one dutch.... but his parent grand parent and whtever family he has are all turkish ... definitely go with turkey... its not about money or which team needs him more..... i would choose playing for egypt over italy.. if i had 2 passports that is ... it would be hard but i cant not represent my real roots in his case turkey .. even his name says it go with turkey.... the only way he shuld go for holland if turkey doesnt giv him a chance to play they reject him off the first team.. like wht happened to camoranesi that is acceptable .. newy its his choice.
The Camoranesi issue started because of this ass Fiore..:groan:

Even though I was born in Australia, I would go for my roots (i.e. playing for Korea over Australia), but that's just me. Call it 'unfair' to Australia, but it all depends on how much you identify yourself with a country

He didn't do that; the media did.

Modo - See that's the point. He was born in Holland and, from my point of view, that makes him perfectly Dutch. It's a matter of opinion.
I agree with Erik. The fact that he was born and raised in Holland makes him as much Dutch as he is Turkish...actually more I'd say.

I think he will choose Holland, this is my own personally opinion, if deep down he thinks about it, Holland is his home, its a cruel position to be in though and the media of both countries should leave him alone.

Why are people saying he wont get much of a chance? Can any of you name me at least 2 decent Dutch right-wingers?

Robben is a left-winger, and for Chelsea, Damian Duff is playing on the right not Robben. Van Der Meyde, considering what people on this site think about the WORLD CLASS WINGER (IMO) I am surprised you said him.

Yes indeed. The very fact that Marco van Basten has resorted to putting a striker (Kuijt) on the right wing position is a clear indication we desperately need someone like Yildirim..!

But I think he'll follow his heart and choose Turkey

See, see. He would definitely get a better chance with Holland, and also lets not forget, ambition also comes into this, we all know Turkey have a fantastic team, but Holland have the bigger chance of winning trophies (on paper, god knows why they seem to implode every 2 years...)

Robben can play on the right AFAIK, though he does look more comfortable on the left. As for A.VDM, I consider him a decent player, and it's totally unfair to judge a player based on his performances at Inter :yuck:

Yes, like you said most winger naturally drift on too different wings, so maybe you are correct, but then who would you play on the left instead of Robben? You want your best players in there best, most comfortably positions so Van Basten is likely to leave Robben on the left.

Of course Robben's gonna stay on the left for Holland, but you told me to name two players who can play decently on the right, didn't you? ;)
