That's not the same thing at all, so a bit stupid to compare.

I don't doubt the US is getting there, but Rossi left 9 years ago now, perhaps in the future the US will have a system up there with the best.
I don't really think it's stupid at all. People try to use the fact that Rossi went to Italy to learn football to justify his presence in the national setup, but people go play in other countries all the time. It's beneficial, but has nothing to do with which team they should play for. That's what is stupid.

If people would just say that all Rossi needs is citizenship, that's all that matters. But instead, they use garbage about where he learned the game or some blood argument.

And individuals are wasting their time debating with me on this issue. He is indeed a traitor to the USSF, in my opinion. I also think if individuals can be pulled over by police for terrorism charges just for having a Ron Paul bumper sticker on their car, the Rossi family should be charged with footballing terrorism against the US, and get out.

It's still nonsense to compare the two, Donovan didn't move at 13, he doesn't have German parents, he never played for all their youth teams.

Players with no lineage shouldn't be able to play for another country, which is why I oppose Amauri, and Brazilians playing for obscure countries. Back on topic, Zarate does, so that's the last I will say here.

Why the hell does lineage matter? What if you're an orphan and don't know anything about your parents? What, play for the orphan national team?

Lineage is garbage anyway. I have German lineage, and so does Donovan. That means I should play for Germany. :andyandbarcelona:

So because Zarate has an Italian Granny he has more of right to play than Balotelli? Thats bullshit...man I can't believe which side of the argument I am on right now.
