Atm we need a Lb more than we need a RB. Licht is in a better fitness state than Evra and caceres is also more fit than Asa. Besides, we already have mamy players that can play as RBs, yet we lack left side options.
You can't be more wrong in a single post.

Check him hugging a defender.. He was absolute $#@!e.. And you know it.. If that would happen if we weren't champions and were only +1 above the second place, you would look at that goal very differently
Nonono

Bonucci getting trolled at the flank, Ogbonna standing (!) 2m away from Darmian was the problem. Lichtsteiner is a man of duty who was rightfully covering an enemy striker while Ogbonna was standing and Vidal was strolling along.

I can't help but think us letting Sass have Berardi for another season will get us a better discount on this guy if we want him. @King of Kings - your thoughts? I cant imagine having to be that club trying to replace your entire attack after a big club takes their two best players so letting their best player (that we own) stay for another season would certainly lessen the void they need to fill. Perhaps they return the favor with Sime?

Aside from the Caceres if fitter than Asamoah suggestion...I fully agree that we have a far more pressing need for a LB. Caceres can comfortably compete with Lichsteiner or at least fill in at RB. He can also slot in at LB yet we have seen him more often as a RB or CB. The fact of the matter is that we have only two specialist LBs in the squad. One is De Ceglie, one of the most hapless players to ever don our colours. The other is Evra, who is rather long in the tooth. It is the only area of our starting XI where we cannot field a top class player in their natural position, in their prime.

Every other position oozes class.

Asamoah is not a natural fullback or wingback. His athleticism and solid technique married to a brilliant engine makes him useful there, but he is not a world class LB. Lichsteiner often is a world class RB. Only Ivanovic seems routinely superior, and he is a freak of a player who can own a flank singlehandedly.

LB is the only position of any formation we deploy where we lack a top class talent.

I rate his defensive abilities better then his offensive.. Solid man marking and clearances..
His defending is good and he marks tightly but he's a better footballer than Lichtsteiner is, his control and technique with the ball is better, and he seems a lot less random than Lichtsteiner is with his crossing.
