    Coronavirus (COVID-19 Outbreak)

So all those airport tests and precautions described in the article are bound to fail in many scenarios.

    Coronavirus (COVID-19 Outbreak)

Another proof that the PCR tests suck. Last year my colleague got Covid, I got sick soon after and went to get tested - negative. A day or two later I lost smell so I knew that I have Covid 99% and I went to get tested again and that time I was positive. The same happened to my wife who got it...

    Coronavirus (COVID-19 Outbreak)

The share of population vaccinated isnt the most important metric, the share of risk group vaccinated matters much more, Latvia, Lithuania and other countries suck at it, both have hundreds of thousands not vax seniors which is a huge number for their size. Most of the dead and the ones in...

    Coronavirus (COVID-19 Outbreak)

Theres not a lot of instruments for the bureaucrats to mitigate with if you take away restrictions and vaccines. Thats why I found the post I replied to weird, imo they need to be able to impose restrictions on a whim if the hospitals are nearing their capacity.

    Coronavirus (COVID-19 Outbreak)

Whats the solution though, the bureaucrats have to at least attempt decreasing the number of Covid victims, no? Or we just stop giving a fuck collectively and let everyone decide for themselves when to stay inside, whether to get the shot or the booster?

https://www.gibraltar.gov.gi/press-releases/rise-in-active-covid-19-cases-public-urged-to-be-cautious-and-reduce-mixing-8452021-7433 5 days ago in this communication they report 5 hospitalizations. No idea how large of a number it is for a country the size of Gibraltar, but surely not an...

    Coronavirus (COVID-19 Outbreak)

Definitely true. But I think most of us have these aspects where we're below average, f.e. I'm truly horrible at learning Russian, for some reason just an impossible language for me to get. Some are just more unlucky than others and the thing they struggle with is f.e. basic logic :D

    Coronavirus (COVID-19 Outbreak)

Id say different not dumb, but to each his own. :D basically that + gov should do a better job communicating with them. Theyre surprisingly good at that when they need to get elected, but a lot more shite here. Take a look at Europe, enough vaccines to vaccinate everybody multiple times and...

    Coronavirus (COVID-19 Outbreak)

to paraphrase swag: humans have impact on each other. individual decisions have bearing on someone else’s life. you do not live solo on an unpopulated earth. we are in one boat with the facebook researcher and his gang and gov should do a better job communicating with those people and should...

    Coronavirus (COVID-19 Outbreak)

The risk of dying from vaccine is the main reason a lot of people decide to not get vaccinated and a lot of governments are doing a poor job responding to those fears. "so and so many vaccine related deaths have been identified" is a very lazy approach because it allows the most basic facebook...

    Coronavirus (COVID-19 Outbreak)

cover-up is too strong of a word, I'd use reluctance to do their job properly. it's impossible to establish the dangers of vaccine correctly if you investigate only a small part of the deaths and then use phrases like "adverse effects have been identified in only so many cases", because that...

    Coronavirus (COVID-19 Outbreak)

This definitely is a problem, gov all around the world are deepening lack of trust issues with this approach. Of course not everybody does that, but several do.

    Coronavirus (COVID-19 Outbreak)

Imo the ones financing and basically ordering the research matter much more than the exact location the research was carried out in, if it's true US were funding the catastrophe, I'd say: 1. US officials should take the responsibility for the breakout; 2. China officials for not containing it...

    Coronavirus (COVID-19 Outbreak)

    for sure Astra Zeneca is responsible for multiple deaths. It's probably a 1 / 100 000 or even 1 / 1 000 000, but it's not non-existent either. https://www.bbc.com/news/health-56620646

    Coronavirus (COVID-19 Outbreak)

As interesting as it would be from a social experiment pov, the not vaccinated scenario goes against basic human decency, hippocratic oath and general moral standards in western modern societies (probably most societies), its basically going back to old testament law. Life as we know it is...

    Coronavirus (COVID-19 Outbreak)

I'd bet that you have it, I don't think there's much else out there that makes you lose taste or smell completely. It's for a while too usually, I had Covid end of Jan and my ability to smell is still not back.
