I'm counting on Montoya(:strong:) to get the lead out of the first corner because he starts better compared to Alonso, Kimi'd have to fight back while he keeps the Spaniard at bay.

I don't think you could fault Montoya for his aggressive streak. It's always been in him, and it's also because of it that he's one of the most entertaining drivers out there. It's not so much that me makes the mistakes himself but IMo his driving style makes other drivers more prone to makin...

I wouldn't mind Fisco or Villeneuve on the podium myself, but if Giancarlo gets a podium spot it'd mean McLaren falling further behind in the constructors' standings :frown:

Now lets hope McLaren don't blow their engines again. :sigh:

Schumi's so good he's almost mechanical sometimes. There was a time when he'd been asked by the team to make up 10 seconds within 4 laps and he gave them 13.Needless to say, he won the race.

Jean Todt once said, that with Eddie Irvine or Barrichello you could never know when testing car setups if times were due to driver error. But if Schumi dropped a couple milliseconds you'd know the problem was with the car, not Michael.

If this is anything to go by, Raikkonnen will have a problem contending with his teammate in the races to come. Go Montoya :strong:

Is that right? IIRC second placing gets you less than 8 points, not sure if it's 6 or 7 though.

    Montoya drove impressively again

Its harder for the drivers this year since they've switched from soft-compound tyres to harder ones which offer more durability at the expense of grip. Skill becomes more important than ever it's no surprise we've seen more than the usual share of sliding in and out of sand traps this...

Interesting. No doubt, Michelin would dominate the championship in the same way today.

Now that you mention it, it makes perfect sense to standardize the F1 tyre supplier. Its a competition between the racing teams, not Bridgestone and Michelin. If tyres could decide the outcome of races and ultimately championships, they may as well introduce a Tyre Suppliers' Championship. :groan:

That is very true.A good set of tyres can save you more time than a whole pre season of testing around the Monza track; tweaking suspensions, downforce and wing/fin heights will probably save you tenths of a second at most, but with tyres you're talking about whole seconds off a lap time. With...

You could say that, but he's always won in inferior cars. When he moved to Ferrari from Benetton McLaren had the best cars, then Williams were the fastest down the straights. Last year Ferrari had the best car but otherwise Schumi has had alot of success in slower cars compared to his...

Maybe that's why Schumi hasn't really had a chance to demonstrate his prowess this season.

Kimi the spoilt kid? He's only frustrated at the bad luck he's had this season, that's all.

He isn't nearly as good as Schumi, I concede that.Sure, he's always in the headlines for the wrong reasons but if it weren't for him F1 would be more boring.Same goes for Eddie Irvine in his younger days. Of course, Schumi is no saint either.Jerez will never be forgotten.

He may not be the most politically correct or well behaved of drivers, but Montoya remains my favourite driver on the field. His flamboyance is unmatched in an otherwise increasingly bland sport. He used to be more exciting at Williams and has had alot of bad luck this season so lets give him...
