His shots are always far better when he doesn't have time to think and hits it first or second touch

Played well when he came on, held the ball up, linked up play and took his goal well. Hopefully this will spur him on.

I think it is because he shoots early when others may have taken an extra touch and it catches the goalkeeper off guard.

Worrying thing is that he is still probably our most useful forward recently

Amauri should go before him IMO. At least Iaquinta can be an impact sub and actually puts some effort in.

:agree: The guy isn't fully up to speed yet and has barely played all season, of course he isn't going to be great. I'm not saying that he is a world beater and he had an absolute stinker today, but he is a useful player for us. He is the only striker we have who is prepared to close...

yup if he continues his form in the remaining games of preseason , Ranieri has no choice but to start him.

i said he could be a good signing for us because he has something different (he moves into the channels, has pace and power) he's certainly not glamorous but can do a decent job. Hopefully he can build on this performance. plus he's showing that he has the Spirito Della Juve
