I've watched Barzagli a lot in the past couple of seasons and I know him well. I'm not saying that he is a bad a defender, but he won't be our saviour; we can live without him. If we sign a classy defender like Milito, we'll be in no urgent need to pay that ludicrous amount of money on slightly...

This is exactly what we need; a defence leader, a thing which Milito can provide to our back line. In my opinion, a partnership between Milito and either of Grygera, Zebina or Criscito would work. It isn't weird. Me for example prefers Italian players to any other players on our planet, does this mean that Italians are the only ones who make good footballers?! Even though, Milito is better than Barzagli. :tongue:

Only Milito sounds good to me, but definitely not Barzagli. Even if Zamparini wants just £6m for Barzagli, I prefer to sign another defender.

Shame on Zamparini to treat Corini that way, I'm not expecting much better of a headstrong like Zamprini though. But Barzagli's transfer has nothing to do with Corini staying with Palermo or not. If the former decided to forsake them when Corini was the team's captain, he'd also forsake them...

One of the best defenders in Serie A this season, bro. He is solid, consistent, strong and makes a good leader. Why forgot about Dainelli?
