We don't have subs for the two central players unlike defence and attack where we have ample choice. Having to play with a half-service Vieira or Emerson loses a lot of the impact.

Why not? He would want to prove a thing or two. These kind of agreements are not usually done in European competitions between two teams from different countries and especially when you consider that it's "just" Villareal.

I really think we should let it be. As long as the chances are there, the goals will arrive. Trez does his job of scoring and the supporting forwards net the ball too, so I'm quite satisfed with our attack. It's our midfield we should really be worried about.

That's not the right attitude. First of all he's a forward not an attacker, so he's bound to create and assist more than score. Secondly I rather have a player who creates a lot but then maybe scores one 1 out of 5 chances rather than a player who does not create anything or creates too little...

He's not an attacker as Trezeguet, but for a forward he surely produced many chances to score per game. I think he must be one of the best in the world in creating so many chances. I personally would be worried only if he didn't create goal scoring opportunities as then the goals will just come...

Re-read it. I'm comparing their so-called selfishness. In my eyes they are both world class players even though (1) they might not be passing through the best period (2) they are selfish.

I wasn't just referring to the fact when he's holding the ball, but also off the ball situation. That's true that he wasn't magnificient all the time, but checking out the stats he's on the right path to equal last season's goal scoring record + improving his assist rate (already at 4 whereas...

You also forgot to mention that he takes the players away from Trezeguet or whoever is partnering him upfront. Even when he's on an off day, two players always go on him to take the ball away so that alone is a great thing for Trezeguet.

When a player is world class, it doesn't mean he excels in everything. Take Trezeguet. He's definitely world class and I doubt anyone will dispute that, but his only quality is the finishing, otherwise he's mediocre in the control, dribbling, passing, etc... That just proves that to be world...

Of course his bird is world class! It talks FFS!
