He's not an attacker as Trezeguet, but for a forward he surely produced many chances to score per game. I think he must be one of the best in the world in creating so many chances. I personally would be worried only if he didn't create goal scoring opportunities as then the goals will just come by themselves (like they did last season).

To be able to create so much in Serie A is a good sign of a world class player imo.

Ibra pens new deal

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has penned a contract extension with Juventus, according to reports in Italy.

The Sweden international recently expressed his desire to commit to the Old Lady and it appears his wish has been fulfilled.

The former Ajax striker is believed to have penned a deal keeping him with the Stadio Della Alpi club until the summer of 2010.

Ibrahimovic has been one of Fabio Capello's key players this term although he only has two goals in Serie A this season.

Although the Swede has not been at his best in terms of goals Juve still stop top of the table with 11 games gone and are two points clear of rivals Milan.

Ibra Agent Issues Alarm...

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s agent revealed things aren’t going that well with regards to the contract extension talks between the Swede hit-man and Juventus.
Turin-based paper Tuttosport went as far as saying today that the two parties had reached an agreement on an extension to 2010, however the player's agent Mino Raiola dashed the high-hopes fed to the Juve fans as he stated to Italian news agency ANSA,

“The talks haven’t even begun. Let’s wait that the club calls us and makes its offer.”

The former Ajax striker’s contract with the white and black outfit expires in 2007.

Creating changes all alone doesnt bring any goals=>victories=>points,
Zlatan creates many chances,
but ruins them in the end,
is very impressive to watch, but in the end of the day results stay
and its attacker job to score goals other than creating,
i enstist he needs to improove his finishings skills and decisive passes to be a complete attacker and gain world class status

That's not the right attitude. First of all he's a forward not an attacker, so he's bound to create and assist more than score. Secondly I rather have a player who creates a lot but then maybe scores one 1 out of 5 chances rather than a player who does not create anything or creates too little.

If a player/team create chances the goal will eventually arrive.

I think u missunderstand my point,
i m not saying i wish Zlatan to become as good finisher and specialized as Trezequet, but he should come closer to DP's ratio(also a supporting attacker)
and i also prefere players like Zlatan who create and know how to dribble than players like Inzaghi,
BUT i mean for Zlatan to become a complete attacker(world class player) his overall skills must be a little higher and the fields he may improove are:
finishing, the decisive pass, patience in his game, balance(his has to know when to stop dribbling and try a pass) and the air game.

I trust Zlatan growing more mature will improove in these fields and become more complete and one step closer to Sheva,Adriano,Raul,Ronaldo and Henry,
these players also have their specialization on the field but they are world class, their overall skills are magnificant and are good enough in every field,
they can both create and finish,
they dont have to excel in every field.
A team must have two attackers able to score so us not to become too predictable.

Another reason i wish Zlatan to improove his finishing skills now is because it has a great psyhological affect on him,
u can see Zlatan become even more active and brilliant in his play after scoring
and how frustrate he becomes when he does everything but score...

PS: i have seen many many Juve games, that we had the superiority,
created many changes but the goal didnt come,
i m afraid that smth similar would happen in the future more often,
if we have the Zlatan-cassano duo
if those two doesnt improove their finishing skills
and Trezequet isnt around any more,
but i m sure they will improove eventually,
its inevitable...

I really think we should let it be. As long as the chances are there, the goals will arrive. Trez does his job of scoring and the supporting forwards net the ball too, so I'm quite satisfed with our attack. It's our midfield we should really be worried about.
