He was decent enough. Had a good sense of positioning, basic skills and good finishing. To me he was like a poor man's Vieri.

Still a better player than 90% of today's Italian average Strikers.

I can't say much about it as i remember very very little of him. In all my years of watching Football i was never really big on Spanish players.

Pessotto should never have been marking Keane for the corner. Keane mightn't be tall, but he was much better in the air than Pessotto.

He was mostly a SS, yes. I meant his style of playing was similar to Vieri. Had a somewhat sturdiness about him, yet always seemed to find the right spots.

Scholl's free kicks were amazing, I remember he managed to score on one occasion while starting to slip just before the shot. Later on, after 2000 he was injured far too often, but in his prime, in Bayern and IIRC he was in Stuttgart before, he was world class player, no doubt.
