Ibra and Cam want exit Saturday 29 July, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Mauro Camoranesi have told Juventus that they have no intention of playing in Serie B next season.

The Italian giants have again insisted on Saturday that there will be no more illustrious sales, but the duo have hit back by claiming they want a transfer.

“It seems evident that Zlatan doesn’t want to play in Serie B,” said the Swede’s agent Mino Raiola.

“Juventus need to take that fact into consideration. We are looking for a way out.”

Camoranesi was a little more direct in his views by maintaining he had no desire on continuing his career in the Second Division.

“One makes great sacrifices to play at certain levels,” he told Argentine television during his vacation in South America. “The stadiums we play in, the Cups we play for…

“Then, out of the blue, all that is taken away from you. With respect, now we have to play against teams like Albinoleffe in stadiums which hold 20,000. I honestly don’t intend to do that.

“I’ll speak with the club as soon as possible to decide what happens, but my objective is to play for a team who is targeting the Champions League Final. I don’t care in what country that is in.”

Both players do have many admirers and have been associated with a number of clubs over the past few weeks.

Ibrahimovic is a confirmed target for Inter, while Manchester United could make a bid after they sold Ruud Van Nistelrooy to Real Madrid. The Spanish giants themselves have also been linked, as have Milan.

Ibrahimovic, signed from Ajax for £11.5m in the summer of 2004, is now valued at around £14m by the Old Lady.

Camoranesi, a member of Italy’s World Cup winning squad, has been associated with Valencia and French champions Lyon.

Juventus already have a replacement for Camoranesi after signing Marco Marchionni from Parma on a free transfer.

Juventus have made a late bid to keep Zlatan Ibrahimovic in Turin by placing a £28m price tag on his head.

Both Milan clubs have both been chasing the 25-year-old forward and plan to take advantage of Ibra’s clear intention to leave the Bianconeri, as confirmed by his agent Mino Raiola.

However, the Old Lady have reiterated that no more stars will be sold, following the illustrious departures of Fabio Cannavaro, Emerson, Gianluca Zambrotta, Lilian Thuram and Adrian Mutu.

But Juventus face a difficult challenge and will have to work hard to convince the striker to stay in Turin to help the team overturn the 17-point deduction and return to Serie A as soon as possible.

They are willing to offer him up to £3.5m per season, compared to the £1.4m Ibrahimovic is paid at the moment.

The player’s agent is scheduled to meet the Juventus managers this week in order to find a solution to the issue.

Juventus have explained their plans for the next season to Ibrahimovic and both Didier Deschamps and Pavel Nedved have been trying to convince him to stay, aware that his talent could be of great use to the team.

But the club is not willing to sell off the player and its shocking request may be a way to scare off Inter and Milan, who are both interested in finalising as soon as possible.

The Nerazzurri may take advantage of the difficult relationship between Milan and Juventus after goalkeeper Christian Abbiati’s surprise transfer to Torino, which also jeopardised Gianluigi Buffon’s move to the Rossoneri side.

Ibrahimovic was signed from Ajax for £11.5m in the summer of 2004 and has also been a target for Manchester United, who are looking for a replacement for Ruud Van Nistelrooy, but the Swede has made no secret of his desire to remain in Italy.

Ibra has the tools to become a great player in the future but if he wants to go then he should be sold.

I just hope he does not go to another club and get re-born.....remember Henri? It is a tough call because maybe Deschamps will get more out of him than Capello. However, 28 million is an attractive number!!!

He or Juve never officially accepts any offer around 51 m/euros for Ibra.
When first rumours were about Capello going in Real,he says, that he is willing to go there, but if they buy Gerrard,Henry,Viera and Ibra ,and Ibra,s price was around 40 million EUR.That was about february-march this year.
Anyway he is definitely an excellent player and a talent.Okay, last season was his more than bad. But,his first year in Juve was more than fine.
I am suprised a little because that bustard Capello did not attempt to take him in Madrid because, Moggi buy him the last day of the transfer season 2004 because Capello admires him a lot.He wants to buy him back in Roma days,so I do not understand this?
Anyway I think that maybe with Dechamps he will play better ,ignoring Capellos 4-4-2 tactics.Anyway if someone gives 28 m/EUR for him, sell, sell, sell.

I'm in the minority here but I would atually like Zlatan to stay.

He has the potential to be a great player in future and no-matter how bad he was last year he'll score goals in Serie B, which will hopefully give him the confidence to get back to his debut season form when we return to A.

i think that deschamps and neddy know how precious is this player and thats why they met him today to convince him to stay
if its money that interests him then i would pay him what he wants to stay and to give his best which i believe is enormous
but if he is like mauro someone who wants to win titles and play big competitions then i would sell him because this is something i cant offer to him before at least 2 years
